This place has had a few owner changes in previous years and some may remember Fat Chops and more recently Copperhead. They were reliable coffee shops, decent butties but didn’t really stand out in a very competitive area. Popped in to Café Enzo recently while rushing for some lunch and had a very agreeable meatball panini served with crispy chips. Coffee was great too and although we had to be swift, we felt relaxed. It was pleasant enough to tempt us back and now we’re regulars! We’ve got to know the staff who are a lovely Italian Family and their simple menu delivers a great range of sandwiches, burgers and superb pasta. I’ve enjoyed spaghetti carbonara and lasagne there in recent weeks. I’m no stranger to Italian food and this pasta is proper. Al dente with gorgeous sauces. Seriously, they kick Piccolino’s pasta dishes into touch, at a third of the price. Enzo is picking up momentum and a solid clientele. If you’re on Kirkstall Road and need a genuine Italian Café to relax in then look no further. No pizza here though, but I get the sense that they do everything properly here, so maybe they’re trying to find space for a woodburning oven.

I really liked it here, not just because it shares a name well associated with Ferrari but there was a lovely buzz about the place. I had a cappuccino and chocolatey thing … Both very nice… Also nice sofas! Personally I’m not too keen on TV’s in cafés hence only a 4star… No big deal though I think the sound was off, just nice background music. I’d say, well worth a visit !
