This shoe shop is a little off the beaten track, so far down on Eastgate that you are almost heading back out of town to be precise. As such it doesn’t appear that they have too many customers. They seem to be one of those old-​school type class of shoe shop with all kinds of proper leather shoes and dorky trainers. They have branded items as well, including some rather ugly Rieker anti-​stress items for those with the more discerning foot concerns. The boots which particularly caught my eye were these really cool Victorian style boots, the laces going all the way up the boot, which at £55.99 were certainly pretty well priced given that they gave the appearance of real leather!
All in all, as evidenced by the elderly lady in the picture, this shop isn’t the most ‘trendy’ of shoe shops, but don’t judge it as a non-​starter completely. There may be a diamond in the rough for those searching for something ‘cool’, but certainly, there is a lot of choice for those who want practical too.
