Jade Unicorn is a magical Chinese on Horsforth’s Low Lane — magical in name, appearance and food. It has to be the most eye-pleasing Chinese takeaway I’ve ever set foot in — traditional hanging designs, a comfy and clean waiting area and cute little lights make waiting for your food as pleasant an experience as possible. And both times I’ve eaten from here, I’ve found the food to match up to the surroundings — it wasn’t the cheapest Chinese I’ve ever had, but both times(duck rolls then sweet and sour battered chicken) the food was immense. If it wasn’t in such a weird location I’d be there all the time. Perhaps that’s a good thing.
