Great for teaching quality, especially their PGCE and BEd courses — they really prepare you for the real world. Having said that, the location is rubbish — the walk up the hill from the train station is hard work when you do it twice a day all week. It is also isolated in terms of shops and as a campus there is really very little on site. THe union is rubbish and is closed for the post grad term start and end as the undergrads aren’t around — given the large number of post grads doing education courses, they need to get their act together. Halls are old fashioned and run down, and often noisy. Student support and pastoral care leave a lot to be desired — really lovely people who want to help, but no actual help given. Potential, but need to work on their services.
