Jones is a bit of a Clarendon Park Institution and for good reason. The food, mainly Italian in theme in the evenings, is always delicious and served in massive potions; thankfully the staff are always lovely about taking the remainder home with you! The menu has a great range, plenty of choice for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. If you pop along on a weeknight you can also take advantage of the two meals for £12 offer; great for midweek ‘can’t be bothered with cooking’ crisis. I’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere here, it’s cosy, well lit and comfortable. The staff are always friendly, even when busy and are great at recommending dishes from the menu. Although the service can sometimes be a little slow, the meals will not disappoint. Enjoy!

Jones’ is just around the corner from me so I go there quite often but I never tire of there excellent food. The sausages are well cooked and rich, if you turn the chips over you can’t see a single burn mark on them at all and they even put whipped cream on your ice cream!!! And who couldn’t like there original vintage style strawberry lemonade in a jam jar with two straws with one of those umbrella cocktail sticks. The only thing I have against Jones’ is that it gets very hot in there but overall I would recommend Jones’ to anyone.

had a nice evening meal. Two mains for £12 monday to(Thursday at the moment, with a choice of a dozen pasta or risotto dishes. drinks are on the pricey side though. Staff friendly and fairly swift. The sea food risotto is one of the best I have tried.

Unfathomably renowned for its breakfasts and evening meals, both of which are overrated(and the evening menu is overpriced to boot). Good for sandwiches and lunch-time bites, although service is on the slow side. Uninspiring but inoffensive décor.

This is a small, cosy café in a nice part of town. The café is quite small, so those with buggies can struggle to get them in, though there tends to be lots of children in so it is obviously no barrier. It is cosy and furnished with dark wood furniture, there are a couple of nice tables with window seats looking outside and some on street tables and chairs too. The menu is quite extensive, and reasonable and the food mainly of a good quality and tasty. There are very reasonable options for children such as beans on toast, egg on toast etc which makes a nice change from chips. They have no highchair, only a bumbo seat to place precariously on top of a normal seat which would probably be offputting if your little one needed a highchair and was not content on your lap or sitting on a seat. Overall, family friendly, generally friendly staff, cosy, reasonable and nice loaction.
