Modino Espresso

Its a good place to eat. Got everything you want at a reasonable price. Wide variety of food and drink. Fanily run, nice people. Eager to please. Great overall. Great centrally located café. Yum

I’m surprised nobody has reviewed this Leicester institution yet.
Modino has apparently been unchanged in appearance for something like 40 years, which won’t surprise you when you go inside.
I think calling it a coffee shop is taking the mick slightly, it is a greasy spoon through and through. The food is very tasty, very unhealthy and very reasonably priced.
The surroundings are unpretentious, it is what it is. I’ve enjoyed a few peaceful mugs of tea’s and fry ups here, and it’s well worth it if you like that kind of thing.
The staff are friendly-​ish, it is completely family run so always the same people in there (I think it is mainly a father and daughter thing) and sometimes they have their off days.
Good central location, honest place to eat, good freshly cooked food. Yum.
