Very nice food as I been here before with my mum and we had pasta and ice cream and you get to see it cooked as well and staff are friendly and helpful and great for a night out and family as well and I would recommend this to anyone who likes pasta and it gets my full star rating from me

I went here with my partner and her sister as we had one of the discount vouchers from the paper. It was buy one main meal get the other for £1. We were going to split the bill three ways between us anyway… however, although the food was great, the service was bad. They were busy for a tuesday night and we noticed as time went on that although our starters came fairly quickly, our main courses took 50 minutes! We asked where our food was and why people were being served before us who had come in after us. We asked twice, told it would be 5 minutes and they apologised saying the chef was«annoying tonight», then the supervisor came over and she blamed the waitress… First rule of passing the buck, if you are doing it as a group, get your stories straight! Eventually the food came but the level of service was poor. However, we were told after our main courses that we could have anything from the dessert menu and coffee menu for free, which went some way to making up for the dreadful service we had. I can‘t fault them on the food, just the delivery of it. The food has saved them on the star rating but only this time.

This was my second visit to a Ziizi’s restaurant, the first being in central London. And on both occasions the food was poor. So, lets start with the interior. Zizzi’s looks nice, its very smart(without being ‘posh’) and confortable. If your booking a tabloe, ask to be seated on the second floor, nearer to the back where the open fire oven is. Service was ok. They did their job well enough. The food however was poor, and at their prices I felt hard done by. For starters we had the — calmari, over cooked to the point where it was chewy — Mussels, over cooked, the texture was like cheese — Garlic bread, umm wheres the garlic? — Dough Sticks, again totaly flavourless. Overall the startes might as well have been from the local supermarket, completely tastless and over cooked. Main — 4 x Calzone(all different) — 2 x Pasts(both different) The mains were even worse. The Calzone was a giant piece of dough stuck to the plate with a giant ball of mozarella in the middle. The flavor was missing, I cut away the edge and top of mine so all IU should have had left was the tasty middle with Calzone base, it was still tasteless. The pasta lacked any flavor at all, Dolmio would have had more flavor. So, 6 of us ate, we had 3 bottles of their 660m Amstel, and a couple of soft drinks. The final bill was £103. Should have gone to Sainsbury’s.

Dining at Zizzi was a pleasent evening for myself and my partner. We came here on valentines day where they organised the tables into two’s with a rose. It was really special. The food was exquisite and the prices were average. Best of all was their drinks. We got bottled soft drinks which are really hard to find these days. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean and had a fresh smell of good food. Constantly the customer service was good where they would approach us the minute we needed something. Both of us ate in £25 which was fabolous. I still do visit when i get the chance

Nice place. Always has a good atmosphere. Always seems to be busy. Like all chain restaurants, you know what you get. Good location on Belvoir street. Lovely pizzas and calzones. Good atmosphere. Can see the kitchen at the back. Always very clean. Wines are good value.

Now Zizzis is a pizza place in Leicester. Its a fairly well sized restaurant well decorated with an open planned kitchen. Now ive been here twice only and first time it was amazing. The starters of garlic bread was made to perfection and the pizzas themself were gorgeous. On top of all that the service was briliant and all in all it was reasonably priced. However the second time i went the Pizza was bland, they forgot to get our side orders and on top of all that they got our bill wrong. Im sure this was a one off really so i think i will continue to recomend this place. But i warn you now, you will need to book in advance because this place can get absolutly packed.

If there is one thing I can say about Zizzi’s is that if you lack any sort of imagination about where’s nice to take a date(I know I do), then this is a safety shot of cricket proportions. Nice interior — all stacked logs, spacious seating and wine racks up against the walls. Nice open kitchen too, where you can see the chefs at work preparing your food, you feel instantly at ease. If you do amble in here I recommend the Calzone, with a dashing of the chilly oil, for a mouthwatering meal of hearty proportions. Eating for the two of you, with starters and mains, should average out at around £30, so you’ll have plenty in the wallet to continue the date afterwards. Good selection of salads and plenty of Italian dishes to sample. Worth a visit.
