Unfortunately large parts of the park have been given over to the Golf Club to replace what it lost to the M62. Although it is now small it is perfectly formed and home to many mature trees and shrubs. It is still a pleasant place to chill out in and for those with childen somewhere for them to play in safety away from roads.
