Recently there has been a new makeover to the Lord Street Burger King; this is exactly what it needed although there wasn’t much to fault about its old design. The décor now seems a lot more warmer, simple and effective with no tight spaces for tables. I’m a big fan of Burger King as I think they sell the best burgers around even though you’re paying a little more than competitive fast food chains, they are well worth it. Their milkshakes are decent as well. Most of all, I’m usually full after I’ve left Burger King compared to when I’m at McDonald’s for instance. One of the reasons for this, is that their burgers are more thicker and not to forget, better quality. This Lord Street branch is the biggest in Liverpool providing plenty of seating. They have many people serving at the tills and food is usually served in reasonable time. I’ve never had to wait longer than 10 minutes. I wouldn’t suggest going at peak times though because queues are just massive(at every till) which defeats the meaning of fast food.

The lord street branch of Burger King used to be in dire shape. The experience of venturing in there was quite unpleasant due to the odd smell that seemed to follow you around the restaurant. However this serious issue has recently been rectified as the entire restaurant has been refitted with a stylish and vastly more appealing new look making it a much more pleasant experience. There also seems to be some new kitchen equipment in place as the food is tasting much better cooked than in the old branch. I personally prefer Burger Kings burgers to a McDonald’s or KFC as they are of a better quality and although they are slightly more expensive, the extra money is worth it for the better burger.

Being a vegetarian I prefer Burger King over McDonalds mainly because they actually do a veggie burger(not impressed by McDonalds sub-style sandwich they offer). They used to have two options but for some reason they only have one now? Food has always been ok from this location. Apart from a few times the onion rings were so dry and burnt. They had obviously been left there a while so avoid the onion rings if they look like they have been on the side for a while. They’re the only item I have ever had a problem with though. Toilets on the overhand are always a mess and I try to avoid using them but after a large coke it’s hard not to use them! It’s fast, easy and convenient food, what’s not to love?
