And now for an altogether different dining experience. Kebab/pizza place Panchos, like Cooper’s, is situated around the corner from the station, so close that the shop practically shudders when a train goes past. The shop itself is pretty small compared to its rivals Amigos and Flames but what they lack in size, they make up for with their quality food(I’m sure there’s an innuendo in there somewhere, but never mind). I would have to say that Panchos do make the best pizzas in Formby, as they are doughy and have just the right amount of cheese without turning it into a glorified cheese on toast. They offer a great selection of different toppings too but my usual choice is The Godfather — pepperoni, salami, ham and bacon; a pig’s nightmare. One negative is their prices, which are particularly expensive even for Formby(over 4 quid for a margherita) but if you don’t mind paying a bit more for your food, or if you’re just not a tight student like me, then I would highly recommend Panchos for your pizza and kebab needs.

The best loved pizza delivery takeaway place in the whole wide town Panchos does bread with cheese and tomato very, very well. This isn’t strictly true, just bread with cheese and tomato(which would be a margherita to any pizza n00bs out there) is not very good; in fact it’s usually burned pretty badly. So you could say that it’s not done well, but well done. Fnar fnar. Ahem. Instead plump for meat feast or the pepperoni with onions and peppers, or the ‘Panchos Special’(which has a little bit of everything — sorry for running the surprise). If you’ve got a big order take their«thirty minutes» delivery prediction with a pinch of salt and maybe some nibbles, ’cause you could be waiting a while to get your feed.
