So I’ve lived in Liverpool for 4 years now and still have no idea where any bus routes go and always mange to get lost as soon as I get off a bus in an area that’s new to me. Two weeks ago I got offered a games testing job at a business park in Liverpool and signed up for it straight away. Then I realised I had absolutely no idea how to get there or back or where to go when I got there on the bus. I popped into this travel centre and gave the postcode of where I needed to be and my home postcode in at the counter. Within 5 minutes the lady behind the counter had given me a map and pencilled in my exact route, buses, prices etc. This was brilliant, friendly and quick service and I was made up by this. I found the place with no problems at very little cost compared to what it would have cost me in a cab. Cheers Merseytravel… Now tell the miserable security staff on your trains to cheer up and stop picking on the public!

The Mersey travel centre at paradise street is a fantastic resource for those of us who have to use Mersey travel on a daily basis. The building is filled with information on all of the public transport on Mersey travels network allowing you to plan journeys from as far away as Chester right up to Southport if you so wished. I normally use it to check which bus I’m supposed to get from the adjacent paradise street interchange, the up to date travel information they supply is really useful for planning around the inevitable uncertainties that surround such a large transport network.

The Mersey Travel Centre located in Paradise Street bus interchange is a place where anybody can seek advice if they want to find out about places to visit within the northwest region. Not only that, but here you can collect various information leaflets and pamphlets regarding hot attractions in Liverpool and directions on how to get there. I usually go here if I wish to top up on my bus pass validation for the next month and also if I need to have my passport pictures taken in an electronic photo-me booth.
Staffs are always very easy to approach, reliable and willing to provide first-hand tips and advice whatever your particular enquiry whether it’s about shops, events or local transport.
