Pizza Express

It’s a standard Pizza Express but in a stylish modern building on two floors (although only the ground floor being used on our visit). We found the service slow and problematic with plenty of apologies being given to us but not good enough probably changes from night to night though depending on the staff in. Great location in Albert Dock close to the new arena and hotels so pretty much always going to be busy we queued to get in. The good old Pizza Express menu has grown in recent years not always for the better in my view the rather limited choice of the past meant that I, always at least, ate the same thing there and found it strangely comforting to do so. Prices are edging up but still good for the quality you get.

Very modern building on two levels, accessible from the Liverpool Echo Arena, just outside the Jury’s Inn, or from the Albert Dock. Standard Pizza Express menu, busy but not overly so. Attentive service and good food. You get what you pay for. Nice toilets!
