Taits Health Store

This place showed so much promise from the outside. However walking through the door was a huge disappointment.
It claims to be a health store but it is really a body building supplement store. The only item in there we wanted to buy we couldn’t!!!
Kelp was labelled at £2.99 but when you get to the cash register and want to pay by debit card it became £5.00! Yes that’s right. There is a magical minimum charge for debit card. Not credit but debit!
If you go here don’t expect too much in the way of health supplements or teas or health foods.

Good olé Taits. Been going here for years. Mark & Ken (Tait — it’s a family business) are always extremely helpful and knowledgable. It’s a place worth worth going out the way for.

When I first suspected I had an iron defeciency, I dropped in to see if there was any vitamins or minerals I could take to boost my immune system. They recommended I take Floradix twice a day and suggested I increase my portions of watercress, cabbage, green vegetables and meat rich in iron. Since then, I’ve been back several times and found the staff just as helpful and knowledgable.
A family-​run health store, Taits has floor to ceiling shelves groaning with vitamins, minerals and supplements. Alongside capsules to boost your energy levels and immune system, they sell protein bars, weight gainers, diuretics, fat burners and carb powders for weight lifters and gym fanatics. The only thing missing is a counter serving fresh juices, shakes and shots of wheat-​grass!

Taits Healthstore has so many products, at first I felt a little lost. However, not for long because the family run business has ensured expert staff on hand to help you out. The original business started in 30 years ago and has gradually expanded.
Many local personalities from the field of sport and entertainment use the store on a regular basis as well as, of course, us, general public.
A few of the members of the family are qualified to give nutritional advice and hold diplomas and certificates in health food retailing.
As well as all the capsules, creams and gel’s that you could ever possibility dream of, they sell gym wear and equipment including clothing, sauna suits and tanning products.
