Mother was not happy. Mum recently received a voucher from Vision Express for a free eye test; always one for a freebie, she made appointment and went along. Unfortunately, she was not impressed with the service at all. Having had her eyes tested it was found that her lenses needed changing, she wished to keep her current frames, which is allowed and possible as the new lenses would fit, however the staff insisted on guiding her through the range of expensive frames available in the hope she would make a further purchase. When she insisted she would not be buying new frames and was quite content with her own the staff became rather haughty, which worsened as she produced her voucher entitling discount off the purchase of her lenses. She felt that the treatment of customers heavily depended upon the amount that they were spending. Her experience of this store only worsened on her return visit to pick up her new glasses which were already delayed in arrival by days. En route to the hospital for visiting hours, she popped into Vision Express to pick up said glasses, she was ignored for several minutes by the cashier who was talking with a visiting friend. When approached and told of the hurry, the cashier advised my mum to take a seat and wait. And wait she did, when the cashier’s conversation finally ended she had no recollection of mum’s order and had to ask both the optician and another member of staff to help her locate the glasses. Wait; wait; wait, and no apology.

Eye Eye! These guys really know their stuff. So, I’m a bit of a hypochondriac, and thought I might need glasses and so went to Vision Express on recommendation, and I would most certainly do the same and recommend it to you out of courtesy no less! I didn’t make an appointment and they fitted me in right away, the reception staff was lovely and the optician was really thorough and I even got to keep a picture of my eye. Eew. I mean Awesome. Don’t you just hate those pressure measuring machines though?! The puff of air into your eye that you’re Never ready for. Anyhoo, cheeky tip, if you register online you get massive reductions… Half price eye exam and a 10% discount at the mo! Just make sure you print the vouchers…
