Agent November

Don’t mess with Agent November. You’ll have so much fun, you may die.
Truly, this is how I felt when on a Saturday night, I found myself in a library room above a pub along with two other people, each of us in fetching trilby hats, and we’ve all been poisoned.
Damn, what to do?
Why, solve a murder, find the murderer and drink the antidote, of course!
Agent November is an unusual event, halfway between a classic murder mystery and the new very fashionable Escape Room (and since I love both, I really loved this one). We played the game in the Somers Town Coffee House (there are a few, including on you play outside), which was an excellent spot, as you had to push a secret door that looked like a bookshelf to get into the upstairs part. Very cool way to start.
Then you are given the deets. The host you were supposed to meet — murdered. You — poisoned. Clues have been left around the room. Figure out who killed him and save yourself.
It’s damn tricky, no question. You only have an hour and we were on out feet running around the small room constantly. Every time we think we found everything, there was another clue, another key, another combination hidden somewhere.
That was the most impressive part of this entire thing. Unlike other Escape Rooms, which have to be played in that exact spot, this one was set up in a room used for pub functions, and still felt like an amazing escape room. If he can do it here, I have no doubt he can do it anywhere.
If you’re looking for a fun night out with a few people, this is the way to do it, no question.
Oh, and we solved the murder and drank the antittode with 30 seconds to go. Because Sherlock’s got nothing on us.

What a fun way to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon!
I met fellow Unilocalers Joanne M and Jason M at the Charlton Street Coffee House (which is actually a pub). Here we had to find a member of who knew our password so that we could start our adventure. We were given the task of saving London from being blown up in a two hour timescale. Major X Plow-​Shun wasleft brokenhearted by is female lover, and has placed a bomb in a suitcaseto destroy London.
We were met in the coffee house by Agent November who briefed us on our mission. After signing the disclaimmer document and donning our agents trilby hats, were set about finding objects within the pub to help us solve the mystery. The clues were hidden in a message left by Mr X. Once we completed this part of the task, we were given a map with directions to a nearby open square. Here we were given clues to help us open the briefcase. Once solved the briefcase was opened. From this point were need to solve a further set of puzzles involving collecting objects and finding keys. We were on a 1 hour time limit to save London.
We were running around the square (well Agent Joanne was) with walkie talkies to communicate with each other to get the mystery solved. Agent November was on hand should we need any guidance.
This would be really good for a small team building event, as we were playing against the clock, and not other teams. It really helped that is was a warmish sunny afternoon.
I would highly recommend Agent November for a fun afteroon with friends!
