I love this place — it has the most wonderful ‘vibe’, helpful staff and gorgeous food. The products in their deli counter are utterly sublime(try this and you’ll realise that pre-packed salami is absolutely not the same product) and the owner is always there to advise and give you a slice to try. Try their home-made pesto sauce and you’ll think you’ve died and gone to heaven. They’ve also got an incredibly extensive range of pasta. Perhaps the most convincing argument I can give is that I travel over 100 miles to get there — this is absolutely true.

This place serves the best coffee on the high street. It’s your classic no frills no fuss but the Italian touch is definitely there. The sandwiches are by far the best you will eat and I have been told this by many friends lucky enough to be be introduced to Maurizio. Looking for a pit stop or to buy all your stock for an Italian dinner party then make sure you pop in and stock up. Truffle oil Linguine Custard tarts on a Saturday morning Enjoy!

I went to this deli with my little girl and friend recently. My friend had spoken so highly of the venue such that we were all ready for a treat. It was a busy day for them but am I wrong in saying that that customer service should remain constant whatever the weather? Especially when it concerns the owner. He was rude to my friend and longstanding customer and didn’t realise we were all together. I have been there before alone and was left disappointed by the reception we received. It shot holes in the now clearly fake warm atmosphere portrayed. It is convenient, without direct competition and the food is good but very overpriced. There is always someone who has a less than satisfying experience but this one involved an old customer

This local italian deli is fantastic. We live in the area and I’m in there almost every I’m at home. Delicious sandwiches and great italian antipasti. Plus a lovely team behind the counter… can’t beat it

A fabulous, unpretentious but authentic place with great coffee and truly delicious ciabatta sandwiches. Eating in the crowded deli, surrounded by tins of italian tomatoes and pasta, is really atmospheric. The guy who runs it(Italian, obviously) is super friendly and the place really feels like a little slice of Italy. The folks who drink coffee at the chain café nearby are clearly twits of the highest order.

This charming little deli is one of my favourite places to bring the kids — they get their own little teeny tiny table and chairs and a bambuccino(frothed milk dusted with chocolate powder) to keep them occupied so I can have my coffee in peace!

I’ve visited Amici Delicatessen a number of times to pick up panetone and bacci, my favourite cake and chocolate! The products they sell are really good quality and the staff are always really friendly. The only problem I have is that they often go a long time without restocking items. I’ve gone in a few times for coffee onlyto find that there aren’t enough tables. It’s unfortunate that they don’t have a huge amount of space but it’s a great compliment to them that they’re always so busy! The staff are always really helpful and eager to get you whatever you want.

I’ve eaten and had coffee here at least 30 times. This café/delicatessen is a charmling little place where the walls are stacked with an assortment of panettones, italian biscuits and beans and the bread and(amazing) pesto is made on the premises. The staff are very friendly, especially the cogenial manager, and will create sandwiches to your individual tastes, my favourite is the chicken, pesto, sundried-tomato and parmesan sandwich, and, as you would expect, the coffee is lovely. The atmosphere feels quite homely thanks to the variety of pictures adorning the wall(Princess Diana, Sophia Loren, a genealogical history of the British Royal family?). There’s usually a few pushchairs and kids knocking about the place so it’s safe to assume that it’s pretty kid-friendly too. And don’t miss the delicious little custard tartlets and pecan pies available which cake-heads like me will find absolutely heavenly. Often wished I would get accidently locked inside here and forced to subsist solely on the fine produce available, you would find me in the morning a bloated but happy man. All in all a great place to read the papers and have a bite to eat and coffee.

Amici’s is a small Italian deli in East Finchley with the friendliest staff I’ve ever come across! The Deli counter is impressive, with slabs of meat and cheese straight from Italy, along with Amici’s own range of olives, pesto, anchovies etc. They have the best coffee and sandwiches of any deli I’ve visited in London and have managed to hold their own despite a massive Costa opening up minutes down the road. If you want friendly, personal staff and amazing food, keep walking past Costa up to Amici’s!
