Typical solid pub serving Samuel Smith Ales, which I consider some of the best in Britain. Friendly Romanian managers, good fresh beer and the food was not bad either. Be aware, though, they close when they say they’re going to close, so make sure you finish your beer…

I’ve only been for the beer, but they have a great selection of smooth bitters. Mmmmm MMMMmmmmMMM good. The staff was on point, and even proved a fair amount of witty rapartee to keep us laughing. The Pints were good, the prices fair.

Place is a dump but has the cheapest pints in all of London, let alone Zone 1.

This was a cute pub on a Friday night. lively but not too crowded to chill. upstairs was a bit overcrowded though. has a nice old feel to it. Interesting how the bottles are turned upside down for quick easy dispensing. a rugby team was doing a barcrawl n playing the game where each sips their beer n pour their gin&tonic(i think that’s what it was) inside the beer mug so whoever spills over the top or has the lowest line loses. lol. Pretty amusing to watch.

Friendly Sam Smiths pub in the lovely Marylebone High Street area — possibly one of the only cheap boozers around. It’s very wooden here — the décor and the ever-present stiffs at the bar –but it’s no secret that Sam Smiths pubs are what you make of them. There’s no music so they’re ideal for just having a relaxed beer or three and catching up over a natter. For more lively Sam Smiths pubs, head to Soho. It can get busy in here as it’s not the biggest and it attracts a large local office crowd. Split over two floors — head upstairs for more seats. We used this spot as a queue watching vantage point for the ever popular L’Entrecôte over the road!

Pretty obnoxious. They have a full menu posted next to the door, but after you climb upstairs and ask for a menu, they give you two sheets of paper stapled together with several items crossed off and some items that appeared on the menu downstairs not listed at all. Also, the barkeep had a little posse of her friends at the side of the bar and acted as though I was interrupting her conversation. Ridiculous. A pretty atmosphere can’t save this place.

Friendly little independent pub, they don’t have any of the nation-wide or world-wide brands of brew here. Which is fine, because what they do have is heavenly. I spotted a lager and a stout and a bitter. My Samuel Smith Old Brewey«Pure Brewed Lager» was cold and yummy. Plenty of seats inside and the outside has pretty cathedral-style windows, with sort of shelves so that if you need to go outside for a smoke, there’s a place to rest your drink while you enjoy your coffin nail. What was especially cool was that the barmaid didn’t mind me taking the two beers around the corner to the fish and chips place(which I reviewed separately).

This is a great little find. The fact that it’s a Sam Smiths pub and only has a handful of reviews shows how tucked away it is. And that’s no bad thing. Five minutes stroll from Bond Street(through some rather lovely street it has to be said) and then I found myself perched by the bar having a lovely chat and a decent pint. The barmaid wasn’t the sharpest tool in the box, and as soon as there was more than four people at the bar she wasn’t sure what to do with herself, but if you’re having a chilled out evening and chatting away, you don’t care so much. There’s not a huge amount of ‘atmosphere’(what does that actually mean?!) It’s not as buzzy as some other Sam Smiths pubs I guess. But, it’s a great place to catch up with a friend and have a good ol’ gossip. They’ve got a few outside tables for little smokey smokersons like myself. If you ever find yourself on the main drag of St. Christophers place, walk a bit further to here. It’s worth it. I’ll be back.

honestly theres really nothing that special about this pub. except the staff, who are generally pretty rad. they always remember you once you come in a few times. they serve Sam Smith beer, which can take a sec to get used to if youre accustomed to more variety. its very… stark. but yet not cold. with no music, it feels slightly like a museum, unless its packed, but it can get an alright vibe, however it still always reminds me of the end of the night at most places when theyre trying to kick everyone out — bright lights and no music to make you feel comfortable. prices are reasonable enough. if youre in the area on a nice day its pretty nice to sit outside and drink and people watch.

The drinks served are great, being really cheep, and very good quality(all vegan and organic too!) The staff vary from kind to not very nice, but overall you wil have a good time if you come here. There is an upstairs, but the lighting is too bright, and so there is no proper pub atmosphere there. Downstairs is better, but something just doesn’t feel right about this place! Maybee its just me, but I suggest trying somewhere else!

One of my favourite Sam Smith pubs in London. As you’d expect with one of these the décor is very minimal and the beer is good quality own brew and cheap. I particularly like sitting or standing outside in the day time and watching the very lively Marylebone High Street go by.

A very Olde Worlde pub, at least on the surface. Dark wood, stripped floor, dim lights etc. When I walked into the stained glass windowed bar, and realised this was predominantly a Samuel Smiths pub. Several on the pumps, and a choice of bottles. The Australian barmaid(bless her) tried to help me out with my choice. She however started by saying If you like Fosters I grimaced. She persisted. If you like Stellablah blah. If you like Guinness. yadda yadda. I tried the Stella-esque one, but spotted a Pale Ale in bottles and plumped for that. I sat outside under a surplus to requirements brolly, and watched the world go by. I spotted what turned out to be a heart shaped potato on an exterior windowsill. A young Canadian girl and her boyfriend sat on the next table, and as they were leaving saw the potato and left with it! Damn. I was planning to adopt it myself.
