One of the best bookshops I’ve been in London definitely. Books and magazines are carefully chosen and displayed. They have a large amount of magazines including lots of less main stream ones. Crowned on Saturdays and Sunday but it opens 7 days a week. Worth a visit if you are around!

This bookstore is not huge, just one room with two big tables piled with books and bookcases on every wall, but the selection of art, graphic design, and photography books is fantastic. The store is run by people working in graphic design and the arts and it shows. The card selection is also great. Strongly recommended if you are in the Broadway Market area.

I previously wrote this on the Broadway Bookshop listing as I didn’t realise there were two book shops on my street! But now I have figured it out. This is the fab art book shop right by my house. Don’t come here looking for Harry Potter. You’ll get a funny look from the lovely lady behind the counter. Not that I would be that stupid, just saying though. So I finally popped in for a mooch the other day and was suprised that I could actually spend quite some time in here browsing the coffee table titles and art magazines. I think that’s a sure sign that I’m cultured! Anyway, if you have a friend that loves quirky titles, this is a dream destination for Christmas shopping. It’s reasonably priced for what it is and a really lovely shopping environment. I love indie book shops and this is a great one.

Bigger and newer than it’s Rivington Street branch, this shop always makes me happy. One of the few shops i’ve ever visited that actually feels almost ‘perfect’ in the strangest way. Everything is laid out neatly and the exterior looks clean and welcoming. Great selection of magazines and books, although it would be nice to see a larger amount of low-fi independent publications and zines. 100% worth a visit if you’re in the area.

slightly bigger than their other store on Rivington Street, Artwords is great. this store is much more spacious than the other, and is a bit more organised. on the very nice Broadway Market, Ben the owner«handpicks» the books himself as to what should be stocked. a very nice selection of art/design books and good magazines. unlike the one in Shoreditch, this is open on Sunday.
