Ascots is another great hideaway place just off Oxford Street. I don’t really go here for a drink much but I like to go here for some good quality food and a really up scale kind of night. I like to meet friends here because it is a good place that you know is going to be quiet so you can talk and catch up. If you do this, meet in the cocktail bar and then decide if you want to go on to have a meal here. However don’t choose Ascot if you are looking for a busy atmosphere this is not the place. Ascots is a fabulous surprise as you would not know it was there, it is nicely hidden and not many people know about it. Well at least they didn’t until this :) The staff and service is always superb. The food is delicious and the restaurant itself lovely. The only down side is that you sometimes find yourself being the only ones eating here, which is a shame because this is truly a lovely find. Also, if you are looking for a romantic night out I would definitely recommend you take your date to Ascot after a good shopping spree down Oxford Street. It will top up your night. Then if you are feeling lucky, you are in one of the best hotels around!
