Now this is what shopping should be about! Fabulous customer service and time for shoppers, a comfy couch for your brave friend giving her opinions, high heels in your size ready and waiting for you when you try on clothes, helpful but not intrusive staff. Betsey, you’re a dream come true.
The clothes here are like I’ve died and gone to petticoat heaven. In the sale dresses start from around £180, but a dress from Betsey isn’t just for Christmas, it’s for life! Just in terms of play time in front of my mirror it’s worth every penny. When they didn’t have what I needed they took my number and called me when it was in, then put it on hold for 3 days while I decided if I really wanted it.
Even the glitzy costume jewlery is fabulous, oh and the bags! Like I said — heaven!

On walking past the Betsey Johnson store in Covent Garden, no matter what your fashion taste you simply will not be able to resist a sneaky peek inside. Renowned for her bold and elaborate designs, the shop is decorated as so with a bright pink neon sign outside and the interior decorated with rose print wallpaper and colourful floral accessories. The window display is adorned with beautiful coats (a divine leopard skin one at the moment) and bags and the shop really reflects the designers personality. Her collection is rather eccentric in style but very wearable and though a little more on the expensive side, worth an investment if you are looking for something with a bit of pzazz. Johnson is a real character who made huge moves in the 60’s and this shop is a great opportunity to purchase something with energy and that will always be cool.

Betsey Johnson is a US designer who has been contributing to the fashion scene since the 1960’s. Her designs are cutting edge cool and her boutique along Floral Street is gorgeously designed and bursting at the seams with great designs. The assistants are very friendly. The main stock tends to be revolve around dresses and loungewear and it’s a great place to pick up a timeless but quirky classic little black dress.
