Bike and Run are UK suppliers of road and triathlon bikes, wet suits and accessories, commuter bikes, running shoes and bicycle clothing based in London, UK.
I bought my hybrid bike here using the CycleScheme(cycle to work scheme) and they were just brilliant! It was my first time buying a bicycle and there was a lot of paperwork involved with the CyclesScheme. I knew next to nothing about the hardware or CycleScheme process. The staff were extremely helpful and patient as I asked really silly questions and helped me to choose a bike that was a PERFECT fit and got all my paperwork sorted for the CycleScheme. I love my bike and cycle about 10 miles a day, nearly every day very comfortably. I have had it in twice for servicing and both times the staff were quick, friendly, and gave me great advice. Very highly recommended! Note: There are two shops, the one on the corner is where all the really high end stuff is. I went there first and was SUPER intimidated(especially by the prices). If you are looking for servicing and are not a huge cycle buff head to the other shop.

«The worst customer service I have experienced at a Bike Shop in North London. Unless you have lots of money to spend, you will be treated with incredible arrogance by mechanics. As for the skill, they broke something on my bike when I had only booked in for a tune up, and replaced two other things without calling to run it by me first. Isn’t that why I left my number? I remained calm and polite and paid, deciding to trust their judgement. When I biked off there was suddenly a new issue with the gears that was never their before. I took it back and was accused of it always being like that and told it would I’d have to pay for another part, all the while being talked to like I was an imbecile. Astounding. As for the owner, a coward who seems afraid of his own mechanics and hides in the back and wouldn’t even look up from a book when I told him I was upset but mumbled sorry and ignored me. Shame on you Bike and Run you are a discredit to the community and to small businesses everywhere. »

They’d get 5 stars if they had better opening hours but they are very friendly and give good service and honest advice. I bought my CAAD9 here last year and I’d happilly use them again. Only problem is getting them serviced is a bit of a faf due to opening hours. Also, excellent Tri advice.

I can do nothing but highly recommend Bike and Run. I bought a new mountain bike there recently and after giving it a proper ride decided that perhaps I should have gotten something a bit more road-oriented. To my surprise, the shop swapped me to a Bianchi bike that was on sale for the same price as the mountain bike I had bought. No charge. No penalty. Well after riding for a bit on some of the rougher roads in my area, I regretted having given up the mountain bike. I was almost afraid to even approach the shop to ask about swapping again, and I figured that if they would swap it, I’d have to trade in the Bianchi and pay a premium. But no. One of the owners, Tony, not only swapped the bikes back at no charge whatever, he also fitted an adjustable stem on the front so I’d have a more comfortable riding position that I’d enjoyed on the Bianchi. And he didn’t charge me for the stem! It’s not a cheap part, either. Also, I think it’s worth noting that the salesman, John, never tried to upsell me on anything I had to ask about buying a lock and helmet. And both he and Tony made it clear that customer happiness was the priority. After the service they gave me, I think that’s very clear. I also like that it’s a local shop instead of a big chain. The level of service is fantastic. Bike and Run has earned my business and is likely to keep it from here on out. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so well in a shop, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new steed. Fantastic.

This is the best bike shop in London I know. The guys know their stuff and are extremely helpful. On top the place is very friendly with a personal touch. The contrast to places like Evans or On your Bike could not be bigger. The old shop was a little cramped but with the new shop open just across the road everything is shiny and bright. This place is a bit out of my way but I am more than happy to cycle there a few miles because I know I’ll get a brilliant service. Highly recommended!

I have my doubt with this shop. My wife and I were there last Saturday. We walked in the shop and no one approached us for the duration of the visit approx. 15 minutes. Well too bad, we bought two brand new Giant /Globe bikes at Shorter Rochford Bicycle on 708 High Road on the same day. The opening hours are also too short. Getting a service done during business days is almost impossible given they only close till 6pm. Again, I have my doubt.

Late Autumn is upon us. I’m not depressed about it. I am taking action. I am getting bike lights. I love my cycle to bits. I would be buried with it. It might happen sooner than later if I don’t learn the highway code. Bike and Run is a nicely laid out store with a really helpful staff. They have loads of bike lights and bike light sets, helmets, trainers, and claustrophobic 1 piece bike suits. I was referred on to a cycle training provider after a good chat with one of the salesmen who was extremely knowledgable. This is not the cheapest store around(bike lights are twice what they would be in Argos) but you feel happy to helped to be in a such a bike positive environment.
