i tried this place last month as i was in the area and decided to use my Unilocal app to find a good value, tasty café. I’m so glad i did, i chose the seafood rissotto and it was a fantastic choice. Hot tasty and yummy all in one. Perfect for this weather. It had a good amount of seafood to rice ratio. I also tried the calamari starter — they didnt have the item listed on the blackboard but they made me a plate of fried calamari — nice and crispy but could have done with a bit of seasoning

Firstly, I’ll start by saying that the food and service was excellent. I had the spaghetti carbonara, with bruschetta. The staff were friendly and efficient, and pleasant as anything. The venue missed out on five stars, as the family owning the restaurant appeared to be having a blazing row, whilst I ate my food. This was explained to me as ‘Italian people.‘ I recommend the place for food, but if you’re looking to relax, from what they were discussing, these arguments might be frequent over the next few months, so be prepared.

Ate here on vacation from USA with my parents. My mother is from Santa Elia, Sicily. My mother got to speak to our waitress in Italian and have a great chat with all the staff(we went on off hours). We had the English breakfast but the menu is distinctly Italian. Great atmosphere. Great people. Excellent conversation. To our waitress(it’s been a month… Marianna?) your English was very good, your service superb, and you should get your mother to take the train to London. Thank you for the amazing food and service.

Without any advance information, we immediately got the impression this restaurant was an authentic Italian café in the heart of London. We were not disappointed. Our dinner of fresh gnocchi with tomato sauce, Caesar salad and a tasty pizza convinced we must have landed in Florence or Rome instead of London. Bön Gusto is a truly great find for dinner!

Cute café on the way to Buckingham palace. Stopped here for lunch right before visiting. Small quaint but nice café. Food was very good and fairly fast service, wide variety of items on the menu. Good place to eat for a family meal, Bruch with a friend, or just getting coffee. Overall good place to eat! I would recommend if you’re looking for a place near Buckingham!

I am a true fan of Bön Gusto. The wait staff are very friendly and Italian! Service was a bit slow, but they were busy and only had one person working the floor. But, for the food and coffee, it’s worth it. I strongly encourage you to stop in and say hello and enjoy a nice Cappuccino!

We’ve just moved offices to the area so I’m still feeling my way around the new lunch scene — based on previous reviews I decided that Bön Gusto would be my first visit. Brief summary — it was alright. I decided to get a takeaway but I was standing there for a good five minutes before a staff member spoke to me because there was some confusion about whether I was part of a larger group. That’s all fine and forgiven. I ordered spaghetti to take away, which took a while — but I’ll attribute that to them actually cooking the pasta to order rather than just microwaving a bowl of it. So some credit due there. As for the pasta, it was fine. It was a red sauce with some meat rather than a proper meat ragu. So all in all, it was fine with some concessions. But that’s it.

Very bad service. Our waitress understood minimal English. It took 30 minutes to bring a sandwich-the wrong sandwich. Each person in our party received their food 20 minutes apart. They didn’t start making some of our sandwiches until part of our party was finished eating. The sandwiches were not worth the wait. Very disappointing and we were looking for a quick eat. Not sure if it was just the waitress or the restaurant. Either way I would never go back or recommend this place for brunch.

Excellent food. Nice location. We had the marguerite pizza, ravioli Fantasia, risotto porcini, and the Caesar salad. All were incredible. I wished we could’ve continued eating without getting full. There was so much chicken on the salad and the risotto plate was very filling for a man. The interior was light with Roman artwork. Very rich cheesy ravioli. The pizza was about 15″ diameter and my 11 year old ate it all and scarfed down garlic bread afterward. Tempted to get desserts too. The bill came up to £50 which seemed like a lot for lunch, but seems to be the standard in London.

We came here randomly one afternoon to grab a quick bite. I would have rated the experience higher, as the paninis looked gorgeous, all toasted with their proper Italian ingredients on fancy olive buns. The Englishman and I each ordered the Parma ham panini. I didn’t get Parma ham. I don’t know what kind of ham it was, but it certainly wasn’t what I thought I was getting, while the Englishman happily chowed down on his panini with real Parma ham. What gives?! Who serves two people who are dining together, who order the exact same thing, something different with no explanation? It’s always better to acknowledge something like that upfront. Also the toilet was a scary experience. I really wish I could rate it higher as this little restaurant had so much potential.

If you love everything Italian, thus is your café. Everyone who works here is from Italy, and I believe almost everything in the café as well lol. I had a breakfast sandwich and a cappuccino, both delicious. If you’re by Buckingham Palace, this place is a five minute walk away. The perfect stop to take a break after seeing the sites in the area.

This is a great little lunch spot, with fast service and a good quality of food. I came here recently and had a nice chicken breast sandwich(unfortunately my first choice had run out that day!), and only realised as I was leaving that I’d actually been there before, two years back with my family. We’d sat inside in the restaurant area for some pre-Buckingham Palace food. This time, I only popped in to look at the menu and get food — which turned up and was great. Being sat outside had upsides(the sun! a breeze!) but also downsides(taxi fumes and tourist herds passing by), but out-or-in, it’s a nice spot. I’d recommend this over the Royal Quarter Café(just opposite) for price, taste and portion size. It is definitely«tired» inside, but for a quick(or not-so-quick) lunch spot, you can easily get over that and just enjoy your food.

Bön Gusto, you were so good. So good. Bön even! And I was almost going to give you that five stars, but… ah hell, you still get the five stars. But I’m watching you. I was looking for a quick place for a quick lunch meeting and the person said they work in this area. Great, the Unilocal reviews lead me here to this nice little sandwich spot. Bön Gusto is actually two restaurants in one. On the left, a real sit-down Italian spot with homemade cooked meals. I did not go there. On the right, it’s a typical sandwich counter, with breads and meats and pastas and all different kinds of things. This is where I went, and I was happy. You order at the counter inside. You can make your own or order a sandwich from the board in the back. If you’re sitting there(they have tables inside and outside) they’ll bring it right too you. Amazing. My sandwich came with salad and chips and it was only about £5. Awesome. Also, when I wanted ketchup and hot sauce, despite the waitress being insanely busy, she totally brought it right to me. I couldn’t have been happier. Exxxxxxxcept, behind the counter, on their board, they advertise a real American BLT. And I love a real American BLT and have not had one since coming to London. So of course I ordered it. And true enough, it came on sliced bread with crisp lettuce, lovely tomato, some great mayo to go along with it and… BRITISHBACON! British Bacon! Which is not bacon, it is ham, and does not, in any way, make a real American BLT. Son of a bacon! I wanted nice, thick, sweet and crispy streaky bacon on my sandwich and this, this my friends, was an outrage! But sandwich obsession aside, this place was lovely and I would recommend it in a heartbeat, British Bacon or not.

Delicious and very reasonably priced! The staff was very nice and attentive. The food came out quick as well. I would keep trying other places since I’m visiting but if I get hungry again in the morning and don’t know where to go, I wouldn’t mind stopping by again.

when I have visited this place it has been for take away only but what a fantastic take away! The paninis are scrumptious and filling while being inexpensive at under a fiver. If you’re around and fancy a delicious treat that won’t cost a tenner and leave you hungry, grab lunch here!

This is one of my locals for a quick lunch. A classic local Italian bar, looking pretty much like it would if it was in Italy. Good pannini, mainly toasted, some pasta to take away as well but you have to wait. There is a café side and a restaurant side were you can have lunch for less than £15 with a pasta, a drink and a coffee. The deco is not great but it has character. The place is always busy and buzzy. Italian staff mainly so get ready to talk football(perfect if you support Juventus in Italy and Arsenal in the UK). They are always friendly, except when Italy loses against France. I have been going there less for the past couple of years. Maybe because each time I go now they talk about the last World Cup
