Bowerbird Design is a boutique interior design consultancy offering a bespoke, creative and straight forward approach to interior design working for both residential and commercial clients.

By using sustainably sourced, quality materials and by working with skilled artisans and tradesmen we create user focused, imaginative and engaging spaces that are both timeless and functional.

We provide a highly tailored, personal service from design right through to full project co-​ordination. Projects range in size from bespoke pieces of furniture right through to whole house or small scale commercial refurbishment.

History

Established in 2010.

Bowerbird Design was founded by Suzanne Pownall. Her honest and down to earth approach coupled with an emphasis on using recycled materials, skilled craftsmen and artisans and has lead her to develop a reputation for creating simple, functional interiors with enduring appeal.

Business Owner

Suzanne’s career begin in Media and Advertising where she worked for three of the top five global Media agencies working on a raft of blue chip clients. Here she gained a solid grounding in client servicing, budgeting and presenting ideas.

Having decided to follow her life long passion for design and Architecture she went on to study Interior and Spatial Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design and graduated with distinction. Suzanne then gained invaluable experience working for a number of highly regarded interior design firms in London where she worked on a mixture of residential and commercial projects before founding Bowerbird Design.
