Brasserie Gustave serves brasserie favourites such as Moules mariníères, Escargots la Bourguignonne, Steak tartare, Crème brûlée and more other classics prepared in front of you. The brasserie is the brainchild of respected industry professionals and front-​to-​back of house duo, former sommelier Richard Weiss and Chef Laurence Glayzer, who reunite to offer French brasserie classics in a relaxed and informal setting.

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere here.
I came here on a weekend night. Despite not having a reservation and with the next party scheduled to arrive in about 30 mins, the hostess still made an effort to sit me in the main dining room and promised to work something out if I didn’t finish my meal in time. She could have sent me to the bar area downstairs, which I would’ve been okay since I was hungry and didn’t know much about the atmosphere downstairs. Later I realized it would’ve been quite lonely as no one was there. Good thing she didn’t send me down there just to get me in!
For dinner, I had the duck along with a glass of wine. I enjoyed both very much. It’s also worth mentioning that the bread & butter they served before the main course was also delicious. The service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly. The guests from the table next to me certainly echoed my thoughts about the restaurant — they were visiting London for less than a week and still chose to dine here more than once.
Althought I was too full for dessert, my dinner still ended very pleasantly. Both the hostess and one of the chefs walked me to the door with a smile.

Fantastic brasserie. I’d never tried a lambs kidney so the owner brought up a single kidney for me to try along side my meal (as it would’ve been prepared as part of the main). Excellent steak tartare and chicken liver starter. A perfect neighbourhood spot.

Die Brasserie ist ein kleines, inhabergeführtes Französisches Restaurant. Die Speisekarte ist klein und übersichtlich, bietet aber eine gute Auswahl an französischen Klassikern.
Meine Vorspeise, Jakobsmuscheln mit Kürbispüree und Maronen, war hervorragend. Ebenso die Foie gras meiner Begleitung. Als Hauptgericht hatten wir uns für Steak Tatar und Entrecôte mit Pommes Frites al la Maison entschieden. Das Tatar wird am Tisch zubereitet und nach den Wünschen den Gastes gewürzt. Super frisch und lecker. Das Entrecôte hatte ich Medium bestellt. Leider war es eher rare als Medium, was aber aufgrund der hervorragenden Fleischqualität nicht schlimm war. Dazu wurden ebenfalls Pommes Frites und eine Sauce Bernaise serviert. Das Gericht war gut aber nicht überragend.
Zum Dessert könnte ich einfach nicht auf ein Crêpes Suzette verzichten. Diese werden am Tisch zubereitet und flambiert. Sehr süß und einfach nur köstlich.
Alles in allem war es ein gelungener Abend, auch wenn noch etwas Luft nach oben ist.
