Want a local place where you are made to feel welcome as well as get a decent feed? Helen and her staff provide exactly that. A good selection of food made on site from sandwiches to more belly filling choices such as lasagne. There have been a few cafes here over the years and Buzz is the best by far. I work 3 doors up the road and regularly drop in to keep fuelled for the day. Good hot choc too! Thanks Helen.

The reason I have given them four stars is because the owner is very community minded. A group called Finchley Village have their meetings there and the owner takes an active part in the discussions and feels strongly about Finchley. The coffee is good, and I have heard from the others that the food is very reasonable and of a good quality. They also offer wi-fi for their customers. UPDATE: They have just started occasional evenings for pensioners to listen to fifties and sixties music whilst they sup — 3 courses £9, main course only for £6. Includes tea or coffee afterwards. Objective is to make friends, keep warm, and have a proper home cooked meal by the owner.

This is a really nice local café. Good atmosphere and above average food — especially the salt beef!

I’m not crazy about Café Buzz. I saw it in passing a few times and I thought I might try it. I found this place to be a bit pricey for what I got. I ordered the English Breakfast, only got one rasher of bacon. It was a small portion for what I paid. I had to pay extra for the toast too and the tea was cold. The seating in here is just tables and chairs(I prefer the couches or at least something less like Starbucks) seating. I thought this place had a cold atmosphere(the tea temperature didn’t help). I found a stray newspaper to keep me company. There are a fewer outdoor seats but it won’t be enough to draw me in on a nice day. Overall, this place is pretty lackluster.
