The most amazing home cooked, wholesome food I’ve had in London. These people really care about what they serve, putting a lot of love into it. The burgers are a must try!

I just had the best burger I’ve had in London here today. It’s miles ahead of Haché, Byron, Meat Mission, and Bill’s — the other places for burgers nearby.
You can tell a lot of love has gone into these burgers, they use only minced steak meat to make their huge patties, then pile on high quality cheese, delicious homemade relish (I had the caramelised onion), thick tomato, perfect maple bacon, and salad greens, in a beautiful fresh bun. It was £8.50, but should have been about £15 it was so good.

The coffee was amazing! some of the best I’ve ever had!

Great greetings from the owner lady and vegetables baskets is what hit me first here. A nice local place where a coffe and a full english breakfast is quite good and cost less than £10.
If you are near by and hungry, juste go.
La devanture né ressemble pas à grand chose, mais on est tranquilles et comme à la maison. De plus vous êtes assurés de manger frais en voyant la patronne éplucher les légumes…
Car oui, ici le full english breakfast est plein de légumes: champignons, courgettes, artichauts, en plus des traditionnelles tomates.
Plutôt bon, même si le tout pourrait être un peu moins avec du brûlé.
On aime quand même, et en plus des toasts avec une confiture de figues vous sont offerts avec le café (très bon) au lait.
Très bonne expérience, même si on né traversera pas toute la ville pour (d’où mon 3 étoiles).

Wow, that’s what I call a great place! Nize cozy atmosphere, genuine food, friendly staff, low prices, what do you want more!?!
Definitely THE place you want to go for brunch (try the greek one!) or just for a coffee!
Just one thing: that’s the place if you want to eat something salty, if you prefer a sweet breakfast maybe you should go somewhere else… but everybody know a salty breakfast is better! !

I am in love with this place. It’s small and genuinely cosy + friendly. And you don’t have to go through a maze of little winding roads to find it! Easy walk from Shoreditch High St station.
My friends and I went for breakfast: they got the full English breakfast and the veggie breakfast, I got the scrambled eggs and grilled vegetables. English breakfast is so often greasy and unpleasant, but Café 12 offers a solid proportion of beautifully prepared & presented breakfast. It’s not just the usual tomatoes and mushrooms– it’s that plus grilled baby corn, grilled aubergines, etc. Also, for every beverage you order, you get a homemade cookie on the side! I ordered a macchiato, which was strong and bitter, tasting exactly like the ones I had while travelling in Rome. Three breakfasts and three beverages came to £22. Amazing value!
The woman behind the counter (I think she was be the owner) was so sweet and friendly, and encouraged us to take more homemade cookies before leaving. We walked out very happy and smiling; I will definitely bring more friends!

Italian /​British food. Staff is super nice. Had fresh teas and cookies. Had a full English breakfast which was great. The meal sizes are very large. Great value for little money.

Café 12 offers full english breakfast for 4.99, and everyone who works there is delightful. I definitely recommend it for brunch, lunch, or just whenever you find yourself on hackney road.

Amazing café on Hackney road. The friendliest proprietor ever, with such great attention to food quality. Serves breakfast and lunches, eat in or take away. I often have the quiche for lunch. Always comes with a generous portion of lovely salad.
Good coffee too!
