Conveniently located on the Strand, but usually packed. It’s hard to get a seat here. I usually pop my head in and if there’s no space I go to Pret right next door. It’s not a great place to hang around and enjoy your coffee, good coffee though it is. No bathroom inside, just one you pay to use on the street. As Caffe Neros go, I’ve definitely experienced better, although it’s fine for a takeaway coffee.

This Caffe Nero was right around the corner from King’s College London’s Strand Campus, so I was here almost every morning to pick up an Americano and maybe a copy of the Times before rushing to class. This was a very small and VERY busy location; the tables were completely packed inside to maximize space and the line was almost always nearly out the door — it would not a very pleasant location to just sit and enjoy your coffee. Even though I definitely preferred Caffe Nero’s coffee to Starbucks, I would much rather walk the block or two down Fleet if I wanted somewhere relatively calm to relax and caffeinate in the afternoons. Note: there was no restroom in this location(!), but there was a pay-per-use toilet nearby outside.

Great little coffee(chain) shop with nice sandwich. I absolutely love the Christmas limited edition ciabatas they doing at the moment which are turkey cranberry and stuffing. I normally go into the one on Waterloo Bridge but these are located on almost every street corner in the city. I heartily recommend if you are a regular at Eat or prêt. Friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere, although your paying for it. As with most chain coffe/sandwich shops it is a little overpriced. Ciabata are a definite whereas the sandwich aren’t much different to what yuo get elsewhere. Chocolate browns are good thou.
