I like this chain but not this particular restaurant. Went here with a friend on a busy Friday night. We were seated quickly and ordered olives to start. They arrived but no tooth picks to eat them with. Asked another waiter for some toothpicks but he didn’t get back to us for ages. So asked our original waitress and was told they didn’t have any! Which is obscure especially as she then provided us with two! Then the waiter came back with some. We also had to wait ages for our wine. I had a gluten free pasta with a Ragu sauce and quite frankly it was tasteless. My friend have the risotto and she said it was lovely, therefore she may go back but not me

This place is pretty great! Super busy, a little crammed when its full on a Saturday night. What I liked the most is how friendly the staff are. This is consistent through out the evening. I just came here for desert but was impressed with their gluten free menu and their epic desert menu. My friend and I both had the gluten free passion fruit meringue. It was tasty, could have done with some more of the passionfruit cream on top of the meringue as it was a little chewy in some places. We had a Rosé’ the each as Well which was okay, not overly smooth though. There is a great ambiance here and things are reasonably priced.

Slightly biased view as I’ve never actually ordered anything from Carluccio other than their £2 coffee and pastry special. The coffee is nothing special to write about, but the Pear Pastry is phenomenal! Every time I walk past I can’t help myself.

Ok after eating Asian food for the past couple of nights we decided to try Italian. We decided to eat here at it always looked pretty busy and our hotel was across the street. It was just OK. The pasta seemed like it was pre cooked at it was not au dente. I had the carbonara which was watery and I had a lot of liquid in my plate which diluted the flavor. It was almost like a pasta soup. It was strange to eat at an Italian place and to NOT be served bread. I commented to my wife that Olive Garden’s food has better flavor and you get hot fresh bread!

Personally I like this place the atmosphere is warm and welcoming and they dont rush you in this restaurant. The desserts are great, if you like rich tastes otherwise they may be too heavy for some people, we ordered the cakes and Cioccollato fondente The recommended pasta dish Penne Giardiniera is definetly a winner however sometimes they are generous with the spinach and other times they are stingy but the taste is yummy. The average price of a main dish is £9 The desserts is £3−5

Excellent! I’ve walked past Carluccios a number of times, but it took a Westfield offer to bring me in. The hostess had us seated within 10 mins. The restaurant is decorated nicely and it doesn’t feel over crowded. We had a garlic bread and olive starter. The garlic bread was toasted nicely and had a good amount of garlic on it. The olives were fresh and seasoned lightly with herbs. The calamari was lightly breaded and tasted nice. I wish that some kind of sauce was served with the calamari though. I had the spinach ravioli which was delish! The pasta was freshly made and the filling was super tasty. The butter and sage sauce complimented nicely and wasn’t heavy. Other half had the special of the day– the seafood lasagne. It had loads of seafood in it but it didn’t overwhelm the sauce and the pasta. Our server was super friendly and super nice. Was also nice to hear that most of them were Italian!
