As far as cash converters go, this one on Bethnal Green Rd. is not too bad. I am not really a big fan of these kind of shops, and there are a few reasons for this. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of not so good quality things on offer, and it is hard to tell sometimes if something is worth buying.
Another reason is that a lot of stolen goods are sold through these shops, which is not really ethically correct in my books. Saying that, I’m sure that is not always the case. This store actually does have a good selection of products. The thing with these places is that they are good to buy from, but never a good place to sell your things to.

I enjoy shopping at a pawnbrokers. Such a basic way to save your money for some reasonably decent (quality is definitely not always guaranteed, but they usually tell you to what degree the quality has diminished) goods. This shop specialises in media — TV, Sound systems, Radios, CD’s, DVD players etc. The prices are generally competitive and I can definitely say that as long as you don’t mind small, unimportant damage to your goods then you can find a real bargain. Three Bart Simpson style flat screen TV’s caught my eye, but I do wonder who would sell three of those without having first taking them from the back of a delivery truck…

I once had to take my 32in widescreen plasma TV and top of the range surround sound system into a Cash Converter to sell. I would never do it again. At the time I needed the money and the attendants like sharks can smell a meal from a mile away.
They don’t offer you anywhere near the value of the products and refuse to budge from the paltry price they offer you. Truth is the people who use these places tend to be from the lower spectrum of the class system. The attendants know this so can get away with barely passable customer service.
If you are buying you can get a good deal from a Cash Converter, but quality can be hit and miss. If you are selling though, do not waste your time.
