The staff are super friendly and the noodle soups are authentic. Reasonably priced too.

I have to say I’m quite surprised with the couple of negative reviews about China City. When we moved to Harringay a couple of years ago we had a take-​away from China City’s old premises opposite on Green Lanes and although we don’t have chinese take-​aways often, this we felt was rather tasty.
More recently (and after their move across the road to 31 Grand Parade) we’ve had a take-​away and also my parents went there for a quick meal last Saturday and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The family who run the restaurant are always really friendly and helpful and the food has always been tasty, piping hot and not at all gloopy or too rich. If you’re looking for an affordable quick chinese, as a local, I would recommend this place!

Cheers used to be rather good, selling tasty and relatively food-​colouring /​gloopy sauce free Chinese food to eat in or takeaway.
Unfortunately, a year or so ago, the owners sold up to the owners of the rather less good (and now defunct) Andreas Fish Bar down the road, who seem to be rather more fond of producing dishes that are lurid colours and the consistency of wallpaper paste.
Cheers, but no thanks.
Incidentally, the restaurant is now called China City.

This trusty takeaway is good but not spectacular. Dishes are standard Chinese fare but are well priced. Staff are friendly and helpful. There is ample seating for a pleasant sit down meal, with efficient service.
