A small little French restaurant located in Kensington, the amount of times you may walk past and think, oh that would be lovely to go in for dinner… Finally, we did. We were greeted by the incredibly friendly staff as we took our seats. A basket of freshly baked bread placed down immediately next to us. Amazing. We decided to get the avocado crab salad to start, and share. Chez Patrick let you share starters and whatever you like without a fuss. They brought us two plates. Win. This was incredible by the way. I can’t recommend it enough. you’re going to get annoyed right now, because I’m about to rave about everything. Soon after, we moved onto dinner. I picked the salmon, at which point the owner, Patrick, joked ‘You flew what, 4,000 miles to order the salmon?” He’s very charismatic and interacts with the entire restaurant while you’re there. Definitely for diners who like a side bit of conversation and entertainment. The salmon was incredible. Everything is amazing and it’s all well portioned. You don’t feel like you’ve eaten too much at any point. It’s delicious. And my husband ordered the chicken with lemon. We both finished our plates. Enough said. Naturally, as it was my birthday, we had to get dessert. I ordered the pistachio and fig tart, with a scoop of pistachio ice cream. It was a fantastic night at all around, and I for one, will most certainly be back.

We had a wonderful meal here. two work colleagues and I stopped in because it’s close to our hotels and were blown away with the food. The traditional fish soup served with crackers cheese and home made mustard was definitely the standout of the evening but the steak and seabass dishes were great too. out ~25 pound bottle of red wine was excellent but I forget the name.(it was the house wine)

We met our old friend for dinner at their recommendation. So glad we ate here. A great find. The host is fantastic. Flirts with wives, charms the man, serves excellent food. All in good fun. Seriously, it is great French food at an affordable rate. Try the Poire Williams as a digestif.

A hidden gem on a side street. The service is impeccable and the food is heavenly. Went with my wife and had the tomato, mozzarella and basil starter, then two main dishes: the bass and the salmon. Both were great. With no drinks, the bill was £ 65, quite reasonable for a marvelous foray into the world of French cuisine.

A great neighbourhood establishment. Patrick knows the locals. The clientele is quite old here, however. It’s the sort of place the 60+ set go. The menu reflects this — with an old-school approach to food. It caters to the older set with the sort of throw-back menu of cold, jellied food that you might imagine your grandparents being right at home with. It’s a French restaurant, and the food is not great to be honest. I had the foie gras to start, and the foie gras was served so cold it didn’t spread at all. The bread that accompanied the order wasn’t warm. I had the pigeon for my main, and it came with a half a grilled tomato, a side bowl of cooked spinach, and a side of French fries. The fries were great, the spinach was overcooked and bland, the pigeon was alright, but had very little meat on it and was a bit dry. I had a glass of house red wine, as well, which was served cold — not good. The waiters were extremely friendly, however, always rushing to help and always with a smile to spare. The water was kept in a bucket of ice next to the table and our glasses of it were kept constantly full. The food was quite pricey considering what we got — but to be expected there. The restaurant itself is cosy and intimate. I won’t be back for the food, and I’m too young for the geriatric atmosphere, but if I were a local who knew Patrick well then I’d come often, I’m sure.

Excellent neighborhood restaurant that still delivers on quality food and service. On a lovely quite street, well worth the short walk from the high street. Everything we’ve had here has been wonderful; I highly recommend you try it!

Excellent produce prepared well and simply. Patrick makes this place great. Ask for recommendations and go with them. As Kevin H. said, this is a place to get to know, and go back.

I’m always walking down Marloes Road and I never really knew this restaurant existed as it’s located on a street just off it. A few weeks ago, a really close friend and I wanted somewhere local to eat as it was absolutely freezing, so we found Chez Patrick by accident. We hadn’t booked a reservation but although it was pretty booked up, the friendly waiter gave us a table. I have to say it was a really lovely evening, we both had steak with chips and it was delicious, the owner was lovely too. The surprise of the evening was my friend telling me that they got married two years ago, and they were dying to tell me but I was uncontactable for a long period due to being very ill. Now that I’m back to full health and my friend was married, we enjoyed celebrating in this low key but perfect little French restaurant. I’d definitely go back.

Food is very good, ingredients are fresh, menu is french, simple, but where this owner operated restaurant shines best is the service. Second to none. Have been a regular for 10 years now.

I had a wonderful, nice lunch here. The service was excellent and efficient. The place was buzzing with other business men who seems to enjoying their lunch too. I had a nice steak and it was cooked the way I asked. The wine list selection was also very nice. I would diffidently will come back to this place to enjoy a nice dinner perhaps.

Lovely little French restaurant on what must be one of the prettiest(and most exclusive) roads in London. A friend and I came here with a Living Social voucher, and were looked after throughout the evening by Patrick himself. Not sure if it’s normal not to be given a wine list and for the proprietor to choose one on your behalf after you explain what you like, or whether this is simply the kind of place where you’re expected to know your French wines, but this wasn’t necessarily a negative point. Food was lovely and very generous portions and by the end of the night I was fulled to the brim with fish, chicken and classic French sauces. And maybe some frites, too. If only I lived round the corner

Iit was great, traditional food, excellent service, great ambiance. The staff is at the image of the boss, attentive, professional, is was as if i was the v.i.p dinner that evening, every body was looked after well, which is quite refreshing when one knows that in most restaurant you are just a table. The food is very good, simple, well executed, plentiful, i had ravilois with fresh crab and scallops in a cream sauce. it was just delicious, and followed that by a tuna steak, which was equally delicious, it came pink as i asked for and the side dishes which by the way are INCLUDED in the prices of every main course. rather rare nowadays. were well cooked. All in all a very enjoyable experience indeed and as it seems to be a small business and a local one, it also deserves all the support one can give. A place were becoming a regular is safe and always a pleasure as i have discovered.
