Specialties
Delicious, free range, roast chicken in a cool, yet casual, restaurant — central London’s first specialist rotisserie restaurant located in Soho, very close to Piccadilly Circus.
Clockjack is a modern, European-inspired chicken restaurant. We are passionate about chicken and have discovered three steps to perfecting roast chicken: (i) carefully sourced free range chickens (ii) careful preparation of the birds, including our special marinade that brings out the true flavour of chicken, (iii) roasted in our unique rotisserie oven — generating that irresistible roast chicken smell and look that we all love so well. We then make a range of house sauces and gravy to compliment our succulent, tasty chicken.
Our menu includes five flavours of wings, our famous «club sandwich», delicious burgers including a vegetarian option; and our latest addition — our hand-made chicken pie. At lunchtime we have a help-yourself salad counter with different salad combos prepared freshly every day. Try our buttermilk-marinated crispy chicken bites — perfect for sharing!
You can order your takeaway via our website or local delivery via Deliveroo.
History
Established in 2012.
On holiday in Barcelona, Jerry, Michaela and their three kids came across a great little chicken rotisserie restaurant. It left such a powerful impression that upon returning to the UK, he hooked up with an old friend, Fraser, and they decided to reproduce the idea in London. Putting together a team of like minded, passionate food enthusiasts, including Gary and Aroa who now run the show, the mission was to produce London’s best roast free-range chicken at an affordable price.
Clockjack was the result! The restaurant opened in December 2012 as a friendly, independent London restaurant in Soho for everyone who appreciates great chicken. We continue to evolve our offering and, working with top quality chefs, have developed some great dishes for sharing, delicious salads and sides.
For those interested in where the name originates, a «clock jack» was the name given to one of various mechanical devices used from Tudor times for turning a spit, the traditional way to roast meat.

Jerry G.
Business Owner
Jerry loves food, wine and football. After considering careers as a professional poker player and a professional footballer, he decided he wasn’t good enough for those and plumped for food instead. One of life’s great pleasures is perfectly cooked roast chicken and, in a moment of inspiration, Jerry decided this was the future.
