Corner Shop

I have a lot of love for this place — the closest newsagents to my office.
I think it began several summers ago when I wandered in and discovered they stocked a fizzy version of rubicon mango juice in a can. Amazing. And I don’t even usually drink fizzy drinks (unless there are spirits involved).
My love was cemented last week when I was having one of those days and stopped by for an afternoon sugar hit — only to find I didn’t have any cash on me. Disaster. ‘Pay me another time’ the till assistant said, with a knowing smile that told me she was well aware of how often my sugar cravings led me to stop by and knew that I’d be back. She was right.
It’s well stocked with what you’d expect — all of the sweets (inc freddo bars!), papers and mags, ice creams in summer, cold drinks, tobacco and even some greetings cards — and run by lovely people too :) I’ll go back. Probably in about 5mins in fact.
