Specialties
Cre8 is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of East London’s exciting new bohemian artistic community, Hackney Wick. Comprising of more than 3,000 square feet of expansive events space, with several generous studios, galleries and a main hall, this unique building provides a high-spec alternative venue for hire with original industrial features.
Cre8 is now home to the new Cre8 Farmers’ Market which is open on Saturdays from 10am and The Wick Festival, our vintage and street food market open on Saturdays until 6pm.
History
Established in 2011.
This new joint venture from the Hollywood actor, director and producer Leon Herbert (Alien 3, Batman, Scandal, Emotional Backgammon) and John Herbert, four time Olympian and elite coach, sees the brothers open a cultural, design, arts, media and urban sports centre.
Located within the new Queen Elizabeth Park, Cre8 is a sensitive restoration and refurbishment of the borough’s old Public Baths, breathing new life into the building’s Art Deco interiors to create more 3,000 square feet of stylish, contemporary events and performance space.
Social entrepreneurs Leon and John have plans for pop up restaurants, arts and crafts festivals, local and international artist residencies, lectures, debates and clubs, music and fashion events. They are also building London’s first ever Ecoship, a permanent permaculture garden which will be built from 100 per cent recycled materials and serve as a beacon of contemporary design, environmentalism and sustainability.
