This is my favorite local coffee place. The serve Monmouth coffee, yummm, they make fresh sandwiches that aren’t too expensive and have some delicious baked goods. If you stop by to get some work done, make sure your laptop is charged – there is only one plug and it’s not in a convenient place. Other than that, the only thing that could be better is if they were open after 5pm.

Lovely little coffee shop with delicious latte. Despite there being several business men with laptops when I arrived, no one seemed to mind my 15 month old taking over the place with her mini stroller. The lady working behind the counter even let her go back there with her. Super sweet :) I will definitely be back!

New favourite place here! A tiny hidden gem, one of those authentic places you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee with the owner, instead of trying to reach him by emails or whatever. The coffee they prepare here may be the reason people are addicted to it. In my opinion coffee isn’t supposed be neither too sweet nor too bitter. Here, they create the perfect balance between that two and it makes me want to order another cup. D1 also has breakfast like baked goodies and sandwiches. I’m trying to quit the sweets, so I won’t talk about the cakes and desserts they had. Prices are great and for about £2 you get to drink quality coffee rather than paying double the price for shitty coffee. This is most certainly a new local favourite.

I’m new to London and admittedly a bit of an Aussie coffee snob so was seeking some decent coffee after travelling for the past couple of months. I was not disappointed! I walked into a cute little café, quiet with a bit of music in the background. Staff were friendly and provided great service. The coffee was was great, costing £2.40. They had great lunch menu with interesting salads and sandwiches ranging from £4−7. This was exactly what I was after somewhere to sit and people watch, read my book and plan more holidays. It’s obviously a local favourite if all the customers asking for the owner is anything to go by. Incidentally she was having a well deserved holiday. Definitely worth the visit.

Lovely, local coffee shop with the best coffee in London. The owner is always there, making sure everything is perfect. Very nice selection of pastries and sandwiches too in case you are hungry. Seating inside and outside(when the weather is good). Very friendly, cozy vibe. I come every day when I am in London and its always a pleasure!

I was taken here by a friend who often comes here, from a distance you wouldn’t or couldn’t tell what this was as there wasn’t a sign saying coffee shop or café just D1. Just to be different I chose the refreshing iced lemon tea, well it was a hot day, and most enjoyable it was. There is a menu board up with offerings of speciality sandwiches, salads with a good selection of cakes in the display chiller. Definitely a place that l would go back to.

This is by far, the best espresso I had in all of London(makes chains like Pret and Costa look like a joke.) I never had a flat white prior to traveling to Dublin but boy did this blow that out of the water! My boyfriend and I were staying in Maida Vale and walked here every morning before going out into the city. Sometimes we came twice a day! The espresso(ristretto) is so smooth and flavorful, not bitter or watery in the least. The temperature was perfect, too. This experienced ruined coffee for me now that I’m back home. Try it! This is seriously worth traveling for.

Great little coffee place by Little Venice. Come here in summer for the tuna melt with Mediterranean salad… Nice coffee and good service too.

Ever since I moved to Maida Vale, I always moaned that there is no good coffee shop in this area of London. Recently a friend told me, that she discovered a little place that looked like a decent coffee shop, just one or two minutes away from where I live. As soon as I could, I walked down and was surprised. What could be nicer than a sweet voice whispering French lyrics into your ears? Not that much, I would say. So before I knew it, the place already scored for the music. The nice little coffee shop sells Monmouth coffee, freshly made sandwiches and sweet treats. The interior is light, warm and beautiful. Not only the location and the products are great, but the staff are also very friendly. D1 Coffee is kind of what I was looking for in this area. It’s great to have a quality coffee shop just around the corner. Right now, I can only go there on Saturdays, but they said that they will probably open on Sundays, and in Summer they might open longer than 5pm. That is just one more reason why I cannot wait for the summer to begin…

Finally a great little independent coffee shop near Maida Vale! The place is tucked just off of the main Maida Vale road on Aberdeen Pl. They just opened 2 months ago. They have awesome pastries and serve Monmouth Coffee. Service is friendly and seating is casual and cozy inside. I’m so glad this place opened, its just what was missing in the area.
