I went there for an event and I loved the place. The food was nice(oh, the curry!) and the music was rock-indie, not like other events where you have lift music. They have and outdoor terrace AND a covered one, perfect for the rain. This one is in the big patio where the its located the entrance. A new world with few restaurants and pubs, so you can have a lovely evening in the same area. I would definitely pay another visit with firends to enjoy.

I was just here on Friday night for a friend’s leaving drinks. As Devonshire Terrace is only just around the corner from the office we are no strangers but this is the first time I had been since Corney & Barrow had bought it out and revamped it. The staff are very friendly and check to see if you book a large party you might be able to get a free Giantini(see pics). The location is amazing, located in Devonshire Square, and if you are lucky enough to sit in the atrium area you can look up through the glass roof to see the Gherkin elegantly looming over the city. The drinks are good, it doesn’t get so busy that you can’t get to the bar, there is an outside patio for smokers and it is great for private parties. What else is there to say?!

Nicely ensconced within a court yard near the financial district, Devonshire Terrace offers a compelling respite from hectic London. When the weather is better(we went during a cold snap), dining on the terrace seems the logical option. The lunch crowd is decidedly the suit and tie set. It’s a mite loud, especially during the Christmas season when the bar side is booked for an office event. The service is professional and punctual. I had the aged bavette Irish steak done up rare. In Toronto, the health nazis seem to have banned anything below medium so I jumped at the chance to enjoy a nice red hunk of meat. The bavette steak is sliced and boneless. I probably should have had it cooked a bit more as I found it just a touch chewy. You get a great range of dipping sauces and I went with the bearnaise sauce. Nothing made me want to leap from my chair and celebrate the bearnaise. Meh. No breadbasket starter although you get your choice of bun. For 16GBP leave the breadbasket. Fries come with your steak and aren’t too bad. Anyway points for atmosphere and service. Great bathrooms too. If you’re here on a work lunch/dinner, you can’t complain. But there’s probably a better steakhouse in London.

This place is really nice for drinks afterwork, it’s a perfect location. Just in front of Liverpool station.
