The best salads! Love the friendly staff here, super affordable prices and close proximity to my office. Fantastic selection, always glad I visited.

Thanks, Suzanne, for your review on this place — without it I would have had no idea it existed despite the fact I used to LIVE within a couple blocks of it– or alternatively I never would have gone into a random tiny sandwich shop at the end of an empty looking street. As Suzanne said, the ladies at the counter are unbelievably friendly. They patiently explained the specials to me and then made sure I got exactly the sandwich I wanted with an overwhelming assortment of ingredients. For £3.60 I got a delicious, fresh and filling(huge!) sandwich and for another £1 I spontaneously nabbed one of the sweets on the counter — some kind of bar with chocolate and caramel — which tasted like it had been made that same day and was heavenly. Students at KCL Waterloo campus should know about this spot as it is about 1 minute from campus and the food is WAY better(and no more expensive) than the stuff at the cafeteria.

I was a bit apprehnsive when I first started going to DG’s they had a lot of choices and that intimidated me. and the girls behind the counter were so friendly, I thought it was TRAP. No one who works behind a tiny lil counter in a tiny deli off a side street should ever be that friendly. But I took the bait anyways. And boy was there a big Pay off! Hooray! huge sando’s for £3! My favorite is the salad box with EVERYTHING in it; lettuce, avocados, beets, coleslaw, pasta salad… other stuff… dressing! and it’s only £2.30 or some ridiculous price like that. It’s perfect towards the end of the month when you are surviving on the dregs of your last paycheck, but you are too lazy to pack a lunch. It’s only open for lunch, so unless you work in waterloo I probably wont see you there.
