Dots is a nice little shop that felt like family business inside.
I was staying in the area and needed guitar strings. I didn’t want to take a 2 hours trip for a £8 set of strings. I searched local businesses with few succes with phone calls. Except this one.
I checked what they have. A bit of this and that, on the cheap side. Totally appropriate with their location. Several type of instruments, enough music sheet and tabs to have fun. Open on a week end, the owner had my favorite brand and my gauge. That was easy and fast.
Sure they won’t have the custom shop model you were really looking for but they’re around the corner and they saved my day :)
I can’t help. I want to give an extra star for being so convenient.

When I was going through an ordeal with a potentially damaged guitar, Dot’s helped me out so well and warmly, I was almost looking forward to the next broken string! This little shop off Camden Road has loads of specialist and hide to find music books, instruments, sheet music, CDs etc, as well as excellent service in repairs and advice. Also instruments to rent, and you can even sell through them, or find second hand stuff. They were very very nice to me and my guitar related ignorance, and really good about getting my guitar repaired quickly and painlessly. Also they’re so warm and homely, they’ll even offer you coffee! Highly recommended.
