Dr. Amir Bashir is a consultant psychiatrist (specialist in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental illness). Trained in University College Hospital London he is a member of Royal College of Psychiatrists. He has 22 years of experience in psychiatry and is registered with General Medical Council UK as a specialist. He is approved under section 12 of Mental Health Act by the secretary of state.

He is a member of American Psychiatric Association (APA) as well as Eurpean Psychiatric Association (EPA). He is a consultant psychiatrist in Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. He offers private consultation through London Psychiatric Clinic.

He has special interest in treatment of Anxiety Disorders (Gneralized Anxiety, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive disorder), Resistant Depression, Postnatal Depression, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Schizophrenia and alcohal and drug related problems.
