On the spacious site of the former Post Office, just opposite House of Fraser, is this stylish, modern, interiors store. Pretty much pitched between mid to the slightly higher end of the price spectrum, there are some tantalisingly accessible impulse buys, too. I was particularly taken by the lovely silver-and-white cappuccino and espresso cups and saucers(at around £12.95, from memory) but disappointed to find that they were only available in sets, rather than individually. There were also some cute black-and-white animal-shaped salt and pepper shakers — perfect as a gift for dog lovers. The furniture has a clean, comfortable, sleek, modern feel: perspex and glass tables, linen-(look), deep, ‘unfussy’ sofas in neutral shades. Plenty of attractive(and quite pricey) cushions to enhance simple seating. Worth a wander and a browse if you’re looking for interior inspiration.

A great furniture store with a few branches nationwide. There are still not that many around but a few new branches have opened recently. The latest one opened in the new Westfield shopping centre in London. The Richmond branch opened only a few months ago and there was a special opening offer of 10% discount. We used the opportunity to go down there and see some pieces we had been eyeing up for our new house. Great stylish modern furniture, a bit like Habitat, but cheaper. They also have a few items that resemble classic designer pieces like the Panton chair and the Arco floor lamp for example, but without the designer price tag. I would recommend going to a store to see the items, but it is possible just to order anything directly through their website.
