It’s a very good place to go if you are a student as they do student nights on Tuesdays

A fairly cheap place to drink in Ealing but it’s not popular with many office workers due to having a bit of a reputation for attracting trouble-makers. DJ plays there several nights a week, decent music and there’s a dance floor that gets somewhat busy at the weekends as it’s open till 1am. The bar staff are very hit and miss — when it’s busy they are totally clueless about who’s been waiting to be served the longest — they tend to serve whoever catches their eye first. You can wait up to 30 minutes to get served on a busy evening. The staff are actually polite and friendly — if you can get their attention in the first place. The food if of a very good standard and very cheap BUT be warned, the service of food at lunchtimes can be very slow. If you have an hour for lunch I wouldn’t recommend going here as I’ve waited 45 minutes for really basic stuff like fish and chips when there have hardly been any other customers in the place! The door staff are generally polite and very effective, checking for i.d. etc, although it’s a bit galling to be asked for i.d. in your 30s or 40s if you don’t carry any! Seems rather pointless! The toilets are awful and have been for a very long time. Locks on doors are often broken, there was a gaping hole in the floor of the ladies toilets for several years which has only recently(April 2011) been mended. There’s often a shortage of toilet roll and the soap runs out quite early in the evening… Verdict? Cheap and cheerful but slow service!
