Let’s just say: bad things happen when Ellis Brigham has a sale. I discover Inov-​8 trail running shoes. My husband discovers Tilly safari hats with lifetime warranties. We end up with Arcteryx ski gear. Ellis Brigham is generally a black hole that hoovers up our money.
This location is quite a bit smaller than the one in Covent Garden, but it lies within the one-​block strip of outdoor sporting good stores right in the middle of High Street Kensington. Yay, comparison shopping! The other plus being that off-​season ski gear sales don’t get picked over quite as quickly.
Do beware the breeders and their spawn, though. Getting hit in the lower extremities by a pram or scooter or a running tot not watching where they’re going is a distinct possibility.
