Falcon Park is an odd duck. It’s a park situated between 2 elevated rail lines and is basically just a bit green space. In the summer, it’s marked out for football and year round is a popular spot for dogs walking and such. It’s connected under one arch to Shillington Park, though they’re technically separate entities. I’ve read that various other things existed in this park in the past 50 years(it was created post-war after bulldozing bombed out houses that stood there previously). These days there is a plan to apparently put some permanent football pitches in on one end. Mostly it gets a bit ignored by Wandsworth Council. The car park is almost always locked shut, which seems silly when on a weekend day — if it’s sunny — the space is full of pick-up football, frisbee, sun worshippers, dog walkers, and the occasional bootcamp fitness group. It’s a little bitty park with a lot of possibility, I think.
