Where do I start?!
I’ve been blown away. The owner is an amazing guy. Welcomed me in, got me a great seat and recommend his favourites.
The food — in a word — perfection.
Best of all, the service AND the selection of craft Italian beers. Make sure you order them. They are phenomenal!!!

Visited with my family earlier this week based on good reviews and I must agree they deserve the good reviews. It was a quiet night and we were warmly welcomed. The service could not have been more accommodating. Fried calamari were very good and the garlic and cheese bread was perfect. Rib eye steak was great. Penne arrabiata was good. Spaghetti and meatballs were good. Overall a very casual place with good food and warm service.

We landed here after having been neglected by DeMartino staff. And we’re so grateful for that! Had a lovely time at Fat Lorenzo… Delicious food, professional and kind service, great red house wine! Definitely try their special rolled pizza «birrini», I had the goat cheese one! This place is so authentic! Ask why the restaurant is called ‘Fat Lorenzo’ and you’ll be amazed by stories of America, 20th century London and the good ol’ days… Banks, hidden treasures, five generations and… a monkey!

Awesome REAL ITALIAN restaurant in London, one of the few with proper Italian food together with some regional specialties. I definitely recomend it and I am looking forward to coming back. Now and then I miss Italian food (my home country) and so far this is the best restaurant I have encountered in many years in London.
A hidden gem. Do not just pass by, enter and talk to them, they will help you choose the best for you, exactly like a «nonna» would do!

Went to his place for lunch with friends because I was staying at a hostel nearby. I got the polenta with cheese, which was really delicious. My friends got two different pizza Birrinis and a Charcuterie plate which they all thought were delicious. The portions were very decently sized, especially for the birrinis. I would recommend this place! It has a nice classy ambience too.
