Great customer service! I had few glitches in terms of payment after I cancelled my subscription and the team there(namely Louise and Andrew) were really helpful and professional and it’s now all back in order. Not every gym is that bothered about actually helping customers so tip of the hat to them! Chris

I’ve been going to this gym for a couple of months in spring 2013. I chose it for the cheap price which I have to say is very competitive. The gym is nice and the changing rooms and showers as well. Too bad I experienced a terrible customer service. As soon as I arrived for my trial I explained that since I would have left London early in June I just wanted to attend the gym for the rest of April and the full month of May. A member of staff told me it was completely fine. After my trial I talked to the guy again and told him I would join online. Unfortunately, the system online did not work like the guy said and made me pay one full month starting from the day I joined. I tried to talk to members of staff several times but since they did not really seem sure about what to do I talked to the manager, who was not helpful at all, kept on avoiding my questions and only wrote back to me by e-mail without giving me an appointment, ever. I was very disappointed to pay more than what I was told I would have to pay.

Not the best gym, but for the price is very good

The biggest advantage of Fit4less is the lack of being tied in to some contract you can’t get out of for ever. And the price. And the surprisingly good facilities! It’s not the world’s best gym(I’d echo the comment that a steam room would be good!) but it’s great value and a good place to try and shift a few pounds.

Can I just say that I’d be less suspicious about all of the positive reviews for this gym if they weren’t all done by people with just one review to their name? In any case, I went to this gym for a one-day trial and found that it was pretty good. The gym is of a good size, with cardio machines(treadmills, elliptical trainers, rowing machines, cycling machines), most of which come with a mini TV screen so that you can distract yourself from the arduous task that is keeping fit. Downstairs, you’ll find the resistance training area, free weights, Swiss balls and Power Plate machines. My only complaint about this area is that I wasn’t able to find any mats available which could be placed by the Power Plates which are needed if you’d like to stretch your calves. Changing room and shower facilities were to be as expected. You can get a towel from the front desk for £1 or do a monthly towel rental for £5 a month. Given that membership for this gym is £24.99 a month, the facilities they have here are pretty impressive. Fit4Less is also part of the PayAsUGym network if you’d prefer not to commit to a contract.
