Established in 1988.

Tattooing for over 20 years Naresh has travelled the globe working at conventions and exploring techniques and styles from every corner of the globe and has brought all of this together in his studio Established in 1998 originally located in Holloway rd and moving to the edge of Camden town in 2002 where it has taken root and grown to be one of the countries most celebrated studios used in TV and Film as both location and subject for many projects including Venus with Peter Otoole and an advertising campaign for Microsoft that saw 40 foot images of Naresh plastered on buildings up and down the country, none of this has altered the intimate and welcoming reception that awaits you on entering the studio: call now to check availability and drop in for a chat.

I was after getting a polynesian full sleeve done and I researched thoroughly where to go as I didnt want any old tattooist to do this massive piece for me, it had to be the right person. Flamin’ Eight kept on coming up in my searches and so I checked out review sites, their own site and their facebook page and it was all very positive. I then chose the artist that I wanted to do my piece which was a hard choice as all the work from from each tattooist was of the highest amazing quality but I eventually chose Naresh. When I contacted them to make a booking the receptionist was very helpful and very well informed, she knew exactly what she was talking about. After having my consultation Naresh designed a piece using my reference material and he came up with exactly what I was after, he started the piece for me last Friday and I just love it, cant stop looking at it, all my friends love it and I am suggesting to my friends that if they want any tats doing to go to Flamin’ Eight, I cant wait for my next session, I definitely picked the right tattoo studio and the right tattooist in Naresh, it is a very clean, well run professional studio, it has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere which makes it an enjoyable experience. I would strongly and highly recommend that if you wanted a tattoo you go to Flamin’ Eight and having watched all the artists in the studio in action you could pick any of them to work on you and you will get the best job done possible, I will go no where else for all my future tattooes, I live in Cambridge but I am more than happy to make the journey to London in the future for all my work.

When I got my first tattoo done, I made sure to do loads of research to find a place I could trust and Naresh’s tattoo studio Flamin’ Eight is definitely that. Tucked away halfway between Camden and Kentish Town, it looks permanently shut but if you’re brave enough to open the purple door you’ll find a friendly, beautifully decorated tattoo studio where the well-informed (and well tattooed) girl on reception is always willing to answer any questions you might have, help you out with prices and advise you on the best designs and colours to suit your personal needs.
I have been tattooed by two out of the three artists there and all three times they took my wobbly sketches and turned them into beautiful works of art that I always get positive comments on.
I recommend this place to any first timer who wants a good first experience, or any ink junkies who want their designs realized and executed in unique and original ways.

This is where I popped my tatoo cherry! After researching online for the best place to get a tatoo in London where I wouldn’t end up with hepatitis I chose Flamin’ Eight. They have the artists portfolios online so you can see their work and choose who you want before you go in. Do book in advance because slots to tend to book up. The receptionists was very nice and friendly, and helped me make my tatoo the best it could be. She was also very insistent on how I took care of my tatoo which I was very appreciative of. Yes of course it hurt, but only on the bone really, and it didn’t make me cry or anything. Electrolysis is way more painful FYI. My artist wasn’t exactly chatty but he did a great job and now I have a great tatoo that I love in memory of my dog Cali who I had for 15 years and died on Christmas Day 2007. I would definitely go back for my next tatoo.
