It has been a while I wanted to check out FlatWhite and I was not disappointed! The coffee tastes good and the atmosphere is very nice. I will come back for another coffee break!

Amazing coffee. If your a kiwi and you appreciate the flat white then this is a must. It’s tucked away and it’s cramped but it is London. You need to lock it in.

Come here for a flat white, as the name suggests. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a simple enough concept, and I like it when places are simple. There’s too many places trying to spice it up and jazz things up these days.

Good coffee, but lousy attitude from some of the staff. I’m travelling and needed to do some work so popped in for a coffee and a pastry to avail of their internet. Unfortunately the wifi was down, not a huge deal, I thought, I’ll just ask them to check on it, the staff member response«oh yeah, it’s really unstable and goes down a lot» *turns away and carries on as normal*. Erm, OK, would an apology kill you? Or maybe you could offer to reset the router? Or maybe just not be cold an rude. Same staff member, when I asked where the bathroom was told me it was«drying» after being cleaned. For over 30 minutes. Is it really too much to ask that a coffee shop have a useable bathroom and working wifi in 2016?

B E S T C O F F E E in Soho. Especially if you’re an Antipodean… Yeah, y’know what I mean. Unfortunately it’s a tight space so might be slim pickings if you want a seat. They do have a sister café down the road on Batemen street which has more seating and some banging smoothies

This is one of the few places where, as soon as I took a sip, I said out loud, «Damn. That’s good.» It was so smooth and naturally slightly sweet and scrumptious. It woke me up quickly and put a smile on my face. The café was definitely full, but we were able to get our flat white to go. The crowd seemed rather hipster. Definitely pop in here if you’re looking for a caffeine fix and classic flat white.

Fantastic flat white coffee. The coffee was really aromatic with the perfect amount of milk to accentuate the beautifully crafted beverage.

Flat White is probably one of the standout coffee shops in London — which is a lot to say in a city with such a great coffee culture. I’ve mostly had their cappuccino and flat white(both 2.8£), with the occasional cortado. They always are executed expertly, with quite a bit of(welcome) variation in taste(it seems to me they switch up the beans used fairly regularly). The inside of the shop is quite cozy and service is quite good(if you manage to get a table). I haven’t really tried their food beyond a chocolate brownie. It was sadly sugary and dry. Still, their coffee more than makes up for it. A great coffee shop in the center of Soho.

If your name is Flat White the Flat White better be good. And it damn well is. I like getting my coffee and perching myself on the bench outside. It’s too cramped inside for me I think. In any case this is good coffee.

Sister of Milk Bar a few blocks away, they’re similar in quality and size — in that it can get crowded quickly and you spend a lot of time trying to jostle for a table for those creatives who can waste a full day in a café with their laptop. Like Milk Bar, they serve a small selection of hot food(if you can get a table), but take away is always a better bet with this place.

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine who has been living in London for the past year. The location was pretty great. When I first walked in there weren’t many others in the café but the atmosphere was pretty relaxed and staff were friendly and up for a quick chat. The coffee was great, perfect drinking temperature straight away which is sometimes hard to find. Costs were pretty standard £2.80 for a flat white(!) and £5 for a tomato, basil and mozzarella baguette. The other items on their menu looked pretty good too, I’ll definitely be going back for more.

This isn’t quite as good as some of the other coffee places around soho like speakeasy but they do have a nice set of seating

One of my regular pre-audition haunts in London, with very high quality«New Zealand style» coffee! Admission first, I have not had their more… Meal-type foods. So far, I’ve stuck to their excellent coffee and the occasional bit of sweet things. The coffee warrants a five star rating, easy! Their flat white is very good(as it should be, all things considered) but what truly stands out is their piccolo/cortado, which for some reason they call«Bongo»(«just a silly name» was their answer when I asked). It’s shorter than a flat white and strikes a great balance between the espresso and the milk. Smooth as silk, it went down a treat! I tried a coconut meringue slice… Thing, and while the taste was nice and not too sickly sweet, it was also quite dry and ultimately kinda boring. The staff are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. Nothing’s gone wrong in my visits so I’ve not had a «chance» to test them during more strained circumstances, so the mark down from a fiver is down to the sweet stuff. Once I try their food, I’ll update, and perhaps I’d up this by that final star! Definitely coming back, and I see a lot of Bongos(seriously, why BONGO?! Is it because the little glass with the drink in it looks kinda like a drum?) in my future.

Nice coffee, not my favourite in London but friends love it so maybe it’s just my personal taste? It’s a cosy little place with cute furniture, very Soho! Can get really busy at the weekends and there are better places to grab takeaway coffee in the area.

Slightly a victim of their own success as this place gets packed within seconds on a Saturday. I would give it a 4* if your goal is to just get a coffee to go. I can’t fault the staff as they seemed friendly, but I can’t abide places that don’t accept card whatsoever. I understand they have to pay fees, but it’s a royal pain the arse when you’re used to nearly every other business in London accepting card. Because I didn’t have enough cash on me, all I could afford was the flat white and had to admire the food from afar. The coffee was definitely worth the price, but it was a little on the strong side.

Tucked down a narrow alley lane, you step inside and feel like you’re suddenly in a rock club, with a jazzy feel. Friendly baristas(accept card) and ample seating inside. The music is nice and upbeat, comfortable black leather seats, and nice circular mahogany tables. Bright red wall at the end, a cool punk vibe. Superb and tart espresso :)

I was wondering what the Flat white is, I tasted, I loved! So creamy, and smooth. Obviously light in coffee. I liked to taste that with their«Amaze Balls — 50p», a chocolate ball. Yummy. The staff remain super nice, even they seamed to be busy. I waited quite a long time before I got my drink but was fine, I wasn’t in a rush. The joint is a bit small, but it is not difficult to get a seat.

Apparently the coffee here is good. But i don’t drink coffee so I’ll take everyone else’s word for it. I had the avocado and goat cheese toasty and it wasn’t anything crazy, but it was decent. So i had another toastie,(don’t judge me i was really hungry) the Manchengo, red pepper and tomato and it was super nice. The space is simple and small, so if you can score a table you’re winning!

Not much to say. But does extremely nice Mochas. Strangely they do a large size for take-away but only normal/small size for drinking inside(is that a hint?) The staff were friendly and nicely explained drinks I didn’t recognise on the menu. One of them an italian ice cream espresso. They mentioned this was due to be taken off the menu possibly due to it’s non-popularity, so try that before it goes or try and save it! Perfect for stopping at after a meal in Chinatown/Soho.

From my trips to the States, I’ve come to realise that American Unilocalers are very particular about their coffee. Being a non hot drink drinker myself, I’ve not come to appreciate the subtle variations in beans, tempering, water temperature etc which my friends assure me are essential to producing the perfect brew My visiting Unilocal Elite friend Lorrie M from California was a on a tight schedule for her whistlestop 3 day visit to London and after reading good reviews for Flat White’s coffee, she had timetabled in breakfast on Sunday We duly arrived promptly at opeing time with a few other customers to be confronted by a shut sign though there were signs of life inside. However, we were duly ignored until another worker turned up and the guy inside unlocked the door «We’re opening late today because we have no workers.» No apology or approximate opening time given. The tone of voice was definitely not welcoming His colleague rescued one star back on this review by suggesting on the way out that we could follow him to Milk Bar, which was open and run by the same company Flat White? More like flat line on the EEG brain tracing part of that guy’s brain dealing with customer service
