In a word — Shocking. I went a while ago simply because I live in Tooting Bec and fancied trying some Thai food in the local area with my boyfriend. If only I’d known Thai Buffalo was down the road! I would have run there instead! I had the thai green curry — it was vaguely green but the vegetables had been blatantly poured out of a can, and even though I’d asked for it to be mild(just incase their version was really hot), it was still really really hot. I asked the waiter to take it back and maybe add some coconut milk to calm the heat down a bit — it was bad enough at this point that I was telling the chef what to do. It came back pretty much the same, but this time with some more tinned veg added to the sauce. Yuck. I refused to pay for it, seeing as I couldn’t eat it(something I have NEVER done before!) so at least we had a cheap bill to pay for — the only good point about this place! In a nutshell, don’t bother, go down the road to Thai Buffalo for some gorgeous Thai food.

I like trying new genres of food and restaurants with the word ‘Fusion’ catch my eye to at least look at the menu. Hmmm… looked like pretty standard Chinese and Thai food to me. The only unique element was that they use HMC approved meat to satisfy the halal dietary laws requirement. I did see chips and onion rings available but otherwise it was standard oriental cuisine. I didn’t fell brave enough to try the ‘Fusion special soup’ and tried the Fusion special chow mein which turned out to have a bit of everything in it. I suppose it’s nice for our Muslim friends to be able to try oriental cuisine but I would like them to know that there are better tasting oriental restaurants out there!

Good food although the fact that they only accept cash and not cards irritates me a little. You don’t often get halaal Chinese food in London. Their food is of a high quality and the staff are attentive, welcoming and obliging. Will recommend and go back because of food quality and great service. There isn’t much vibe when you are inside. We had two main dishes and both were good. It is also child friendly which is a plus. The restaurant is comfortable and fairly clean with nice décor. Would recomment to one and all. Think the manager/owner’s personal touch makes a difference as he was there when I went.
