This restaurant has rightfully earned its low rating. Went in 1 hour before closing and was rudely refused service because they would be closing shortly. Not a place worth visiting unless you are absolutely desperate.

I went here for lunch with a couple of friends. I had a burger and it was not that great. Service was a bit slow.

My husband and I were greeted by our very friendly waiter, Pedro, right away. The food was very good. Great bbq sauce. The corn on the cob was a bit subpar and the bacon a tad undercooked to my liking, but overall, an enjoyable meal. However, the prices are a bit steep but not entirely outrageous by London standards. A great place if you’re looking for standard cuisine.

The service was extremely slow even when we mentioned our friend had to catch a bus back to Rotterdam in about 30 minutes. I ordered a milk shake. What they call a «milk shake» is milk with squirts of chocolate syrup in it with froth on top. I’d call it bad chocolate milk. So our friend left and the waitress came back to tell us that our food was done and they sent it to the wrong table. This place is awful. They aren’t busy, they just suck.

Expensive and poor service. Tourist trap. You can get better burgers for 5 – 8BPS, food was cold, missing half the ingredients, and service was slow. I should have told the hubs no before we went in.

The fish and chips here are pretty average. The breakfast here, however, is fantastic. Lots of food and all of it is pretty decent. The environment feels a bit like TGIF in America. If you’re from out of town and are looking for a quick, quiet place to eat without much hassle, this is it.

Arrived right before closing, at 10:00 p.m., and they let us in and acted completely unnrushed. Could not have been more welcoming. Food was prompt and delicious.

Sauber, trendy, Salatbar, gutes Essen. Guter Durchschnitt in London, Typ McDoof oder ähnliche Ketten. Hier kann nichts schiefgehen.

Quick glance: + quick service + unlimited salad bar + fresh ingredients — London prices erring on the expensive side This branch of Garfunkel’s opened in late 2011/early 2012. I came here with a colleague for a weekday lunch and ordered the Lemon and Herb Grilled Chicken Escalope off their lunch menu, which also came with a small side of salad and chunky chips. The grilled chicken was ever so slightly overcooked but very much edible. The side salad was basic and fresh, and the chunky chips were delicious. My colleague ordered the salad from the salad bar which allowed for unlimited refills. The waiter gives you a decent-sized plate and you can go back to the salad bar as many time as you want, and the quality of the selection from the salad bar looked fresh and delicious. The service was personable and the food arrived quickly. You do pay typical London prices, for example almost £10 for a burger and chips, or £12 for a steak ciabatta, but at least the ingredients and quality of food are good for ‘fast food’, considerably better than many of the chain restaurants in and around London. Portion size is good too. If you come for lunch, there is a lunch menu which slightly reduces the prices of select items from the main menu.
