Just what you need from a local. Warm and comfy, a home from home with much better food.

We had a lovely time with our 4 children at the pub. The kid’s menu is a bit sparse, but the fish and chips were very nice, and their beer selection is brilliant. Looking forward to making this our local pub!

A really nice, big but cosy Youngs pub. The oft-mentioned comfy leather seating makes for a relaxing experience, with great food and even better in the summer with bbqs in the huge beer garden. Pub quiz on Wednesday and live jazz on Sunday. Quickly became our local after moving into the area. It would be nice to have a bit more variation in the ales but always tricky with pubs owned by breweries(Youngs).

Really homely Sunday afternoon pub, pretty good food and lots of comfy sofas and fine ale.

This should be the best pub in the town, BUT its not. Its hit and miss on the food, service & beers. I only go there because its big enough for groups and it at the end of my street. There seems to be a complete lack of direction from the management. Clean your beer lines and for gods sake clean your pints properly. Sort it out Youngs!!!

Just a short review from me. There are several reasons why this place gets 5 stars… The food is amazing. Both an extensive menu for a pub and absolute quality. You may look at a pub menu and think £10+ is too much, but let’s be honest, it is becoming the norm. And for that money you really do get value, both plentiful food and genuine quality. The food tastes fresh and perfectly cooked(barbecued outside in the summer). If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, you found it. Secondly, the whole setting and environment is great. Tastefully furnished inside and out with a whole range of tables for relaxing, eating or sitting in groups. The pub and beer garden are really quite large, but the pub don’t try and cram more people in, they use the space to give patrons more comfort. Thirdly the little touches. Having a bike rack, a box full of blankets for outside when it is cold, daily papers, it’s the little things that make a pub. Then you have the constant surprises. Today, as I sit after a top notch meal, I am listening to a really good jazz band. On this side of the pub it is just nice background music, although over there they have a large audience, still all comfortably sat in space. I love this pub, I cannot recommend it highly enough, for the day, for the night, for food and drink, for meeting your friends, or doing the telegraph crossword after a hard day at work. Enjoy.

Since the pub was done up it has become lovely! The food is really good and the décor is very cool — big leather chairs and book shelf wallpaper, giving the feel of being in your own library. Outside is very comfy as well– sofa type seats and lots of space. Staff are always very friendly. Best pub in sheen by far and do need to spend more time there!

A large pub, with a decent menu, that is moderately priced. Comfortable sofas mixed with tables and chairs. A pub to be able to relax in.

The Hare and Hounds is a fantastic little pub and located just opposite my place of work its the place to go for after work drinks on a Friday night. The pub always has a great range of offers and I advise people to check out their website before coming along as you’re often able to download vouchers for free drinks. The food is brilliant and if you attend the quiz night on a Wednesday night you can get fish and chips for £5.00. The cod served is both succulent and crispy and easily worth a lot more. I’ve always found the staff friendly and accomodating and whether it’s by providing snuggle blankets so you can curl up in the beer garden once it gets late or by featuring a range of boardgames for guests, the Hare and Hounds isn’t afraid to pull out the stops.
